I don't think the one that got away reached #1 on billboard hot 100. Part of Me and Wide Awake were post-releases, in an add-on to the album. If artists could just tack on hits later to break records then all artists would do this.
@arturoDelgado-d3p10 ай бұрын
@@KaylaJPaige a week before part of me would chart billboard changed the rules to protect MJs record. Prior artists like Rihanna reissued an album and billboard counted the extended release as one. Teenage Dream had a deluxe with 3 add ons. Completely different from a EP like Gaga’s the fame monster or Kesha’s animal. But what I said still holds true, “ most number ones in an album era.” Emphasis on era. Billboard counts Teenage Dream as an album with the most numbers ones with a reissue. artists have reissued their albums many times before katy and yet they can’t add on that many hits like she did. Honestly we all thought he was lying about being Katy Perry's brother until I saw him on Katy's E! true Hollywood story thing. Lol. I was flabbergasted. Just like "oh... Huh, guess that guy I slept with a couple times and partied with for awhile actually was Katy Perry's brother..." lol. Wasn't anything wild by any means. One of David's friends did go crazy on me because I slept with David and apparently said friend was rolling his balls off and without even talking to me at all had decided I was his? People can be weird sometimes. So we just slipped out and he drove me home. Anyways. From what David told us (I don't remember a lot because we thought he was lying so it was something we shrugged off) her family is super bible bangers and a little crazy. For Oklahoma that's the norm though. At least it used to be. SLIGHTLY more diversity now. It is the spirit of kundalini that the hippies who took LSD used to summon and it is a Hindu practice. All this nonsense she says that she didn’t know who Michael Jackson was growing up is a blatant Lie. Katy travelled around USA with her parents and went to normal schools. Not surprising at all how many people end up walking away from religion, tbh. A decent number of parents just use it as a tool to scare and control their kids in ways that screw them up psychologically. Said kids end up with a ton of negative memories and feelings surrounding the topic of religion as a whole. The second they break free from their parents, they can try to distance themselves as far as they can from the things that stressed them out and/or restricted them during their childhood. I'm speaking from experience, I've gone through that struggle

@@DeepDiveProductions Billy idol is punk rock, Billy Joel I guess you could say is 70’s pop rock. The biggest difference, I’d say, is the British accent on idol & the Long Island accent on Joel. Although a fun fact is that for just like 2yrs when idol was a baby his parents moved to america for whatever reason & happened to live in my town which is on Long Island so both Billy’s lived here at the same time for like 2yrs lol

I wasn't originally a fan, but then I went to my niece's dance competition. I saw these little girls accepting their awards while ROAR was playing. Made me cry. THEN, they played ROAR during the Labour Day Parade (I am a female boilermaker) and I got to march with the daughters of my fellow boilermaker brothers... made me cry to maybe inspire young ladies to pursue a career in a male dominated industry.

Back in like 2015, I had to give an informational speech for my public speaking class. So I did it on Katy. It was 5 min long. After I finished I had a girl in my class come up to me and tell me she didn’t hate her anymore. I was like well that’s good, considering she’s never done anything to you to warrant hatred toward her. This is why we shouldn’t judge people we know nothing about. It took 5 minutes of me explaining who Katy Perry is as a person to convince someone that she wasn’t a horrible human being. I guess I can call that a success, 🤷🏻♀😂

This is great ! I love you for doing this , thank you ! It’s awesome how her story ties into that song you ought to know . I’ve been listening to that song a lot lately and out of nowhere it just keeps popping up . Now I remember , idk if it was the first time we heard it but it was early and my wife was like pull into the strip mall right here and go buy me this cd . That’s crazy that a few years later , my wife and I were fighting , I’m on a bunk bed in my daughters’ room . They had a cd player clock radio and every morning I was waking up to Katy Perry high and low and waking up in Vegas . I love all those songs I just mentioned . Love . Thank you

Katy’s sister: “we didn’t even know who Michael Jackson was” Katy, later: “we all grew up with Madonna posters” hmm🤔 Just somethin that gave me pause 😅

I think she meant girls in general grew up with Madonna posters

Yeah. the fact that they were trying hard to make that "we couldn't have Lucky Charms" a category of abus3 is crazy, lol. Y'all know good and well that you weren't missing out.
@atinyworldofdimples986510 ай бұрын
@@MPPG663 I think their saying their life was different in a way from other kids, they were very sheltered from everything and couldn’t embrace their true self in a way unless their parents approved and that kind of is physiological abuse to an extent, forcing your kids to be what you want not allowing them to figure out themselves, although in my opinion lucky charms are filled with bad things so good on their part but it’s the other aspects that I would consider wrong to do to your kid. Idk that’s just my opinion.

@@atinyworldofdimples9865 Parents are expected to parent. What that looks like is going to be different from one house to the next, but at the end of the day, it's the *responsibility* of parents to decide what is or is not acceptable... for their children. You commend the parents for restricting them from a cereal you know is harmful, but because you disagree with everything else, they're wrong (music)?...I don't think you hear yourself. The overuse and exaggeration of what abus3 is in this day and age is frankly, disgusting. These children were not "abus3ed".
