Michaels lyrics still ring true in 2023. Miss him so much.

I am amazed how this song never became as popular as it should have. If this was released even today it would have been a hit. Listen to it. So good!
@samanglais13 күн бұрын
I think chorus didn't quite 'hit'. But yeah, all their songs would be big hits today

susanne williamsson no worries...I’m from the uk 🇬🇧 where they were slow to get success, then blew everyone away with kick album/ Wembley 91.Grunge came along and pushed so many bands aside, even full moon/elegantly wasted which were great, were ignored . Heartbreaking

Welcome To Wherever You Are was Number.1 in the UK in England, and that album came out in August 1992, right in the smack centre of when the Grunge era was taking the world by storm and just exploding everywhere and anywhere you went.

This one right here goes to prove that sometimes the best cut/take of a hit song can often times be from a small stage TV setting. Tim sure seemed to be feeding off of the energy. Gotta' Love It!

I agree that the best takes are these 'live' video/tv audience performances where they can not worry about a large audience and focus in of the performance. I have seen the same with the Doors and other bands.

Wow! Now I can only be even more sad over the loss of MH. One more masterpiece of a song I am hearing for the first time, now one of my new favorites by them. So mad they never really got the attention in the US they really deserved, to have made them known to everyone like the Stones or Beatles.

You know these lyrics are hauntingly similar to the way he died "In a room above, a busy street, the echoes of a life" "The nature of your tragedy, is chained around your neck" How freaky is that!!!
@trexpixx45905 жыл бұрын
Lot's of people refer to that, and so did I at one time. To me the is another lyric from The Swing. "Well it's the swing The swing like a pendulum Between the pieces and between the lines Leaving nothing to hide There was a darkness like an old friend That scratched and crawled up the wall Into my life Into my destiny Into my desire"
