Havent watched the full vid yet, but just had to mention how much im loving the editing, everything is so smooth and fluid and the little edits on the top left to explain little things are the cherries on top, along with the quirky ones. lovin it so far Edit: Just watched it all, damn. Tough luck but it was an insane run regardless. But honestly the MVP of this vid is the vid itself. Everything from the narration to the editing was so well done, it was so engaging. When I watch these I always think about how when I played the game I had no trouble with any of these gyms. But then I remember I used heals and didn't release my mons after faint. Nuzelock challenges make the game seem seriously hard. And when your stuck with a specific type or set of mons you really have to struggle. My hats off to you for this one. Although ash does have some solid mons you still have the glass Cannon Pikachu and the second evo gabite making them almost impossible to use at some points including the gyra ice fang you survived with Pikachu.

For the starter I would probably pick chimchar because fire types are rare and Infernape is insanely powerful however it's really close because turtwig makes the first gym really easy whilst chimchar struggles more

What I love about this game is that gym leaders/elite 4 use some of my all-time favorite Pokémon. (Or evolutions of favorites) mismagius, weavile, roserade, scizor… so many greats. It’s fun to face off against your favorite mons knowing how good they are.

An excellent video as always, though that final battle was just devastating ;o; Crits are a heck of a thing! For the question near the beginning of the video--if I was doing a non-hardcore Nuzlocke, I'd go for Turtwig because I'm more fond of that line than Chimchar's. However, in a hardcore Nuzlocke, I'd make the same choice you did! Infernape is just superior in pretty much every way, AND it benefits from one of the rarest types in the Sinnoh region!

i would really like to see a hardcore nuzlocke where you can only use as much pokemon as a gym leader or elite 4 instead of being aloud to use 6 since that would make it a little more difficult and would need more or better preparation. To get around the issue with the champion having 6 instead of 4 or 5 pokemon like their elite you could 'kill' them just before challenging the league with wild pokemon and then be aloud to revive them before the champ that way you would have the same number of pokemon to use during the 5 battle gauntlet
