A lot of the pop-punk songwriting took notes from emo stuff. I used to remember what those chords were called and how they worked, but I don't anymore. But the sound both IS nostalgic and feels nostalgic on purpose. It also, to me, feels like a letter to a lost kid from 20 years ago. Knowing what Keeki went through, how hard she's worked, and how well she's doing now gives this a lot of emotional impact. It's a nostalgic triumphant anthem.

This song is everything a pop song should be: catchy, exciting, inspiring and sweet. Keeki's chorus vocals are gonna be in my head for weeks at least, and the sweet sincere verse from 2:15 is gonna be in my heart forever. Asteroid absolutely nails the music too, to no-one's surprise, and perfectly captures the 'good old days' of pop music for us jaded millennials (though perhaps they were never as good as this). Keeki has fought so hard for so long to find this happy place, and to be able to make this wonderful song with such a gorgeous MV, it's no wonder she's got so many of us wiping away tears as we rock out to this song and continue to cheer her on 🍰❣😹

Nth day since the video's Premier and yet It is still getting stronger.
