i have a page in my planner called, "Sometimes, good things happen." It's great to flip to when i need a little reminder.

We count our wins as a family at dinner. Our dinner question is to tell your favorite part of the day and “share your candy”. I write them down in a basic planner that I picked up at the grocery store. The planner is left out so anybody can see it and add to it or even just plop a sticker or tape a ticket stub or photo in. Nobody is precious about it. It’s VERY low effort. But the cool part is sharing with family. Like… my nine year old doesn’t care about my project at work… but he does like celebrating a win with me and that’s weirdly motivating.

Wonderful video - your enthusiasm is more infectious than ever, Simie! This is a brilliant channel and I'm thrilled you're monetised. It will grow. Your USP is actually your personality, I think. I love your sense of humour, it's properly quirky from where I'm standing - and I happen to believe that quirky is great. It's different, original, fresh. There are so many people out there doing the same thing - if you haven't got a personality that makes you stand out, who's going to be successful? I'm so pleased for you. Congratulations!

I think I should look back at my 2023 journal to see the differences. I love the idea of writing my wins on big pages, and even decorating them. A small journal with wins sounds like such a cute idea, I love a good pocket notebook

2:46 I actually had a lot of trouble with logging something I'm grateful for. So now every day I log 1 or more things I'm either grateful for or proud of that happened / I did that day. And very often the things fall into the I'm proud of category, like I did that today! How cool! Even if it is really small. ... reached the end of the video. So exciting! 🎉 congrats!

i chuckled at the disneyland metaphor :) i love the idea of keeping a win journal. my friend group shares wins in a W-channel in our discord server, but i recently left the server for mental health so I've just been keeping my W's mostly to myself/in my own journal. I really resonate with 5:40, focusing inward is so helpful

Journaling isn't magic. Try to document your life when you're at a low or when you're depressed. It's hard and very soul crushing to have to sit down and write about how your life isn't worth living. It's only working for you because you've already managed to get to a place you're satisfied about in life. I'm living through war ATM. Every week a hear about a person from my hometown being killed. Do you think writing about that will eliminate my anxiety and make me confidant? It will only make me think "I wonder when it'll be my turn". Do you think I'll enjoy writing about how two years of war has wasted two years of my education and ruined my career?
