My home inspector told me I could put olive oil down the drain on my septic, so that's all I cook with. This video seem to contradict that.

Animal fat is the only real problem. If you use hot water and soap properly for vegetable oil it wouldn't matter. Use it up top to break it down first then drain it...

In Italy we have special containes to put bottle of used Cooking oil ...we don't put it in Normal garbage container

Save all large glass jars and pour the grease into them, keep them in your fridge until they are full and then throw them into the trash can, is another way.

Throwing away bacon grease ?? I got a better solution. Save that grease for next time you make pancakes, or cooks eggs.. use grease to cook it, consume that grease and let the body turn it into some nice stool, and let it just flow down that drain...

I didn't know this about grease as I was a vegetarian for 32 years and now my kitchen sink is clogged. I poured 4 gallons of boiling water down the two drains and only made a slight difference. What can I really do to unclog it as they don't say here.
