I saw someone else do a story as the top comment, felt like sharing my characters story, it just fits too well. October 19th, 2164, Lake Eerie, Ohio. Farm estate Joel stared at his old rifle, before looking at his cybernetic arm, wwhich he lost in a battle. Many many years before the flash, this rifle was used by his great great grandfather, it was his service rifle in world war 2, it killed many axis soldiers, defending a small town from countless enemies. The rifle was then given to his great grandfather who used it to defend his farm from theives and animals, that rifle then got passed down his grandfather. He was ten when the flash happened, he used the rifle to fight against raiders, and other wastelanders, then his dad got the rifle. Joel's dad used it to defend his home from eldritches. Then one day Joel got he rifle, and he used it to defend his militia from the Coalition. Joel sat, thinking of the stories this old rifle had attached to it, thinking of the defense of his militia in that old high school. He now looked down, looking at his son. He handed him the rifle, thinking of what he would do with it. "Now son," he said slowly, "Its your time to keep the wolves away."

(Short Story For This Song.) 5/28/2057. Charlottes, North Carolina Airport. Another shot fired, another mutant down. Terence reloaded his TSR-31 that he had turned into a Urban DMR. Terence had nothing else to lose in this world, he's friends in the Marine Raiders were killed in the flash, his family is dead, and a bandit killed his pit bull. Terence was either going to die in this airport or fly to Rockport, Florida one way or another. Another shot fired, another mutant... stands... This is it for Terence, as a RAD-8B just came around the corner of a corridor hallway. Terence wasn't scared of this big mutant. Terence had pulled out a impact grenade made to where when it explodes it doesn't make shrapnel kill the thing, but rather it blows the insides of the thing out of it. The grenade had hit the thing, exploding on impact like it was made to do. It made the mutant fall on it's knees, and mutant blood came out of it's mouth. At this angle, Terence could kill it with his gun. Terence took aim at the head of the 8B, firing a .223 armor piercing round into it's head, killing it. It all went quiet for him, as the adrenaline had dissipated from his body, as he knew it was a small force of mutants that were in the airport. Terence looked out into the sands of the Airport through the broken glass window. A skeleton had a radio sitting next to it, even after 25 years later, it was still playing music. Terence walked up to the broken window, standing next to the radio as well. He could see a broken up reflection in the glass. Terence hadn't seen his face for 2 and a half decades. A tear rolled down his eye as he slung his TSR-31 DMR. Terence saw the city of Charlottes with the skyscrapers and buildings that were all so old and run down. All the old airliners were destroyed and turned into nothing bus scrap, with some being filled to the brim with skeletons. Terence had been suffering in this world, fighting for nothing without purpose. In MARSOC, they taught him and everyone else in the regiment that they always had a purpose to live, even in the darkest time, the darkest hour... Maybe Terence just couldn't find it just yet. Maybe it was to just stay alive and survive. To keep the wolves away... (If you like this short story, your cool. If you didn't, your cool as well.)

4/7/2164. Long ago a group of “eldritch hunters” were camping in an old motel refurnished to be used as a hub to sell eldritch body parts in exchange for ND. While trading, their camp was suddenly attacked by a pack of mutated wolves. Most don’t remember how they looked, but some survivors said they were “wider than an entire car.” The place was quickly overrun and after a few months, in June the eldritch hunting hub was fully cleaned up. But when a larger pack of the wolves returned for what they thought was going to be an easy feast a veteran from the attack stood up and mumbled to himself while wielding a spiked bat and a small pistol “Fight like hell to keep the wolves away…”

Febuary 18 2115 The Bridge of South side and North side (Not Canon) Shots rang out in the streets as the USMC , started moving into the streets of tidewater violating the agreement of borders. As a PRTM technical fired onto an incoming squadron. The USMC resisted the insurgency of the PRTM. A squad of PRTM footsoldiers moved into the bridge occupying it as they took cover in nearby tank obstacles. The clock struck midnight as the last shots of the last remaining members of the USMC barrage ended. The last members were executed and recorded. Tapes were sent anonymously to some goverment officials to signify the presence of the MEB and PRTM (Unofficial Concept Story) (sounds like a crp fest)
