It was such a nice relief to catch sight of M15 on the cams yesterday. While ground crews report seeing F23 perched nearby, she had not come into cam view to my knowledge.
M15 spent a good amount of time at the pond, and at one point, he was even joined by one of the day's nest guests for some interesting interaction.
The nest/tree was quite a popular site for young eagle visitors yesterday, with up to three perched on its branches at one point. The day's guests appeared to range in age slightly - but all were on the younger side. Two different eagles spent time IN the nest, picking around thoroughly. (Yeah, I'm not thrilled about this either - but I'm surprised to see that few people seem to be expressing concern. I am not sure how long the virus can live in the nest, so perhaps this is not as concerning as we may fear.)
Don't miss the DRAMATIC action starting around 6:12, leading to a mid-air locked-talon moment!

(Please note: If there is no audio or poor/jarring audio on a cam or in a recording, I will add music. If there is nice, ambient sound throughout the clips, I'll leave it alone - no music. Always remember, you can mute the video if the music bothers you. This decision comes from considering the majority of comments & feedback.)

What I'd like to think is, those are M15's kids coming home because they sensed something wrong back on the nest where they were born.

So many different ages! Should someone go up in the bucket and "clean" out the nest of any leftovers so no one else gets sick?

I hope the visitors don't eat any infected meat.

Great to see M and his “kids”. Hopefully the sun hitting the nest is killing any virus, if indeed that was the problem. Sure looked like poisoning too. Doesn’t matter at this point, they are gone and prayers for M and F to get healthy. Hoping to see F again now. She’s been hiding a couple days. 😢💔🙏

CROW said virus, nothing about poisoning.

I find it odd with all these visitors. Are they trying to claim the area?

I highly doubt it because they're not old enough to breed yet. Usually the breeding instinct kicks in at around 5 yrs old.

Is it typical or normal for these visitors? Will CROW or others disinfect the nest? Is that even something that is done?

Hola theck. Esa misma pregunta la he hecho yo en un vídeo a Lady Hawk y me ha respondido diciendo que no hace falta desinfectar el nido porque el virus se va solo en 4 o 5 días😊

Agree!!! And it’s painful to watch them back and forth inside the nest , this young adult’s possibly are Es too from Harriet and M15 they got a lots of offspring and most of them are pure adults now but some are younger than them , that are not fully developing thier white head yet. Because they are below 5 years old

The nest needs to be disinfected or the disease will spread.
