Alright everyone, since many have focused on the oil in the DQ parking lot you will be happy to know it is not slick. I just went back to check and its as grippy as any other part of the lot. I'm sorry we didn't have cat litter on the bikes that night and it's never my intention to make a mess of any property but I'm not sure what other option we had in that moment. I would never have parked the bike in the grass either. My apologies.

hey, i have to ask as you are not exactly old - how did you get so much mechanical knowledge as a whole? I have watched many of your projects and it isn't just one thing you seem great at - trained engineers, mechanics, is it all just seat time and getting stuck in or what? Oh and thanks for the super entertainment

Hey man, this shit happens, My camper van burst a pipe line. Oil every where on the road side in Cornwall Uk. Lucky I was near a garage who fixed it up. I went back and used washing machine liquid and scrubbed it in. Left it for a day came back with a stiff brush and water, 95% of it was gone.

I had a 125cc Benley when I was 17 years old (53 years ago) and it got timely oil changes, spark plug, valve clearances and points gap checks. The bike went great until the engine nipped up one day, ended up pushing the bike home and left it for several weeks before trying to kick the engine over. It did turn over so , I connected the battery and got the bike running only for it to nip up again after several minutes. As a 17 year old kid I never thought to check out the oil centrifuge or the oil pump. My previous bikes at that point had been 2 Triumph Tiger Cubs which were dry sump lubrication which I was familiar with but the Benley was the first wet sump bike I had owned. You learn with experience don't you. Enjoyed this video as it helped to solve what went wrong with my Benley. 👍👍

I had a '66 CB160 back in 1969. Small end of the left rod failed, and I replaced the crankshaft in the engine out in the garage. Thankfully my motor came apart a lot easier than yours did. Of course, it was 53 years newer than your bike is. I'd love to find another one someday, but being 75 years old, I better hurry up and find one. I'm riding a 2002 RoadStar, and a 1985 Vmax now, both bought new. Still miss the 160. (Or maybe I just miss being 19 years old...)

1969 I was 15 yrs old and bought a nice clean 67 Honda CL 160, my first bike. That bike was my first taste of freedom and riding excitement. Now at 71 yrs old I have had about 70 different bikes that I either built, traded or bought. Now that I slowed with age a little, the garage holds hot rods and Harleys. Even now when I fire up my Harley and roll down the driveway I still have a little of that first excitement, like looking through the eyes of a 15 year old kid again. I will always have a soft spot in my heart for that first Honda Cl 160 and the teenage adventures it took me on.....Good video guys....Thanks!

Amazing video! That bike reminded me of a Honda CM91 me and my dad picked up back in 2019 when we were still living in Viet Nam, and it was in terrible condition as a lot of parts were missing or damaged. However, we were able to give it another lease of life with a full restoration and engine rebuild using parts of other Honda's 90cc family bikes (CM91 parts are non-existent over there). The engine was also in the same condition as you guys, with modifications done to keep the bike rolling (Kickstarter is welded in place, someone tried to convert the ignition points system to electric pickup, etc...), as during the 1970s, parts were almost non-existent for bike in general, so people would try and modify it to keep the bikes running and it really shows, as our example made it over 70,000km (40,000 miles). Great to see you guys breath life back to this Dream, and those bikes, are just one of many examples that embodies the image of Honda as a liberating machine.
