Keeping the Household Cavalry cool - BBC London

With the recent heat and humidity being so intense it's been one of those times where some people have been glad to work indoors. Well, those with air conditioning that is. But what about those Londoners who work outside in all weathers. How have they been keeping cool? Wendy Hurrel has been finding out.

@@kcy_vxx1330 quite a few women in the household cavalry "blues and royals" and the "life guards" actually, the army doesn't really discriminate in that way, its some of the navy which are a bit sexist, like there has never been a female royal marine for instance, But the army is a bit more progressive as long as you can pass the tests you can do anything, even the parachute regiment!

Trouble is of course, the navy doesn’t want any fraternisation aboard for long period, and women get very emotive when away from home for long periods.
