I love how their colouration makes them look like giant house cats. Maybe subconsciously I also have memories of watching the Jungle Book in the cinema as a child and Bagheera, one of the good guys, was a black leopard and so they're probably appealing for that reason too.

I absolutely loved the walk with Kahn ♥️. He surely did not disappoint. So many parts of the walk stands out, but what stole my heart was Kahn’s beautiful eyes. I had a one and only trip to Uganda to film gorillas, and I didn't know much about them when I got there. Didn't know they never stop moving. New home every day. So we would catch up to them and stand in awe and amazement, and off they would go again. I should have trained before I went. They proved it was so effortless for them to cross the jungle, and we were all out of breath and scrambling.

All races among the cat species are so beautiful and enigmatic. The black leopards look extra beautiful and mysterious. Khan seems very socialised, and seems to view you as one of his pride, as all of your other cats seem to do. The curiosity and eagerness he displays seems to me a good sign he enjoys his life.

I'm in Australia Victoria in severe lockdown for 21 months. My son has leukaemia & been in hospital for the better part of a year. Watching you Kev take Kahn for a walk (my favourites are leopards) made my heart smile & gave me such joy. Being locked down has had me reflecting more on wild animals. That's why I love your large enclosures, you rotating enclosures & talking them for a walk. This video made my day.

Many years ago as I was driving along a quiet country Lane in the UK, a huge black cat gently loped down a bank at the side of the road ready to cross I slowed immediately to watch and it hesitated in the middle of the road to look at the car, before climbing the bank on the other side and disappeared into the fields. It was a summer evening and the light was just beginning to fade yet I definitely saw, what I now believe to be a black puma like cat, much like his one. It was stunning and looked in very good health. I told no one at the time because I didn’t want idiots going out trying to trap or kill it. It was obviously living very well on the local deer and other wild animals in the area. Wonderful experience.
