Great review and perspective! This makes me feel even more so than I already did that the Zero 2 @ $25.00 is an excellent value. The Zero 2 was my introduction to the iem hobby and I am still surprised that you can get such great sound for so little money!

Enjoying your reviews at the moment as I'm trying a lot of the same iems you are.... not sure if you are into tip rolling but I really like the impact of Final Type E for TWS tips on my warmer sounding iems like the Delci, Artti t10 and Letshuoer S08... I find the tips remove any boominess or muddiness from the midbass and make everything sound cleaner and more resolving... they are marketed as being for TWS but I overlooked that and very happy I did. they only sacrifice they require is that they don't isolate quite as well as other tips, but they isolate well enough to retain subbass and they are the most comfortable tips I've ever tried.

The EDC Pro, Chu 2, EW 200 and Delci share this frequency response with striking similarity. The exception of build quality, accessories, price and possibly detail are the defining factors of which one you choose. I own the EDC Pro and the more I use it, the more I like it. At sub $20, and in some cases, sub $10, it's the perfect beater IEM for me. I can't see spending much more without inclusion of foam tips, a case and superior cable. I have all of that in the Zero Red and F1 Pro.
@AudioAmigoReviews

The F1 Pro is such a good set. I need to do a planar project video on it. Thanks for your comment! I really like the EDC Pro as a V-shaped budget beater, especially under $10.

@@AudioAmigoReviewsAfter doing some digging, I think the next acquisition is going to be the CCA CRA. It's about $20, comes with or without a mic and has been out a couple of years. V-shaped like the EDC Pro, but with more bass and treble, but a nice gradual build from the upper mids (1.5K) up to 4K, which should be a bit smoother. With "above average detail" (No Theme Reviews) I'm thinking this will be great for gaming.

On sale, this is good. But when you have the EA500/EA500LM, the Delci AE, and the EW300, all with tuning, and the EW300 having even sub-flavoring within that. It makes this $50-80 range a really hard recommendation. I almost feel like the $50-60 price point is gone. Really only filled by the T10 and T1. Otherwise its $20-25, $35, $75-90, $100-125, $250, Kilobuck.

If you count delci using retail price then T10 should be in the same bracket (it's 70$ originally). Also what set other than Aful explorer is in the 100-125 range? After low budget sets, I feel like it's always been in 50$ intervals. Under 50, under 100, 150, 200 etc.
@AudioAmigoReviews
@AudioAmigoReviews 4 ай бұрын
@@miscwork-qb7pd When I think of the $50-$60 price range. The stuff that comes to mind immediately are the Truthear Zeros, the T10, the Delci, and the Moondrop May. I feel like those are the most popular ones. There’s other stuff like the Juzear Clear, the JoJos, the 7Hz Sonus, but it’s mostly older sets. I do have the Tri Draco, it came in and is $60 but I haven’t listened to it yet. As far as the $100-$125 range goes, I immediately think of the S08 and Explorer, but the EM6L is there, as well as the KiwiEars Quartet, the OG Letshuoer S12 and the Sennheiser IE200. I think the 50-$100 range is super densely populated and has a LOT of good options. After that, the $200-$350 range has gotten really exciting lately, but I don’t have the cash yet to explore it too much.

@@AudioAmigoReviews Ah I forgot about S12 and IE200, my bad, those are definitely above 100$ (rest are within 10% margin of 100). Those two will always have their fans, but would you still recommend them at retail price today? I feel like they've been out done by the competition at this point
@AudioAmigoReviews
@AudioAmigoReviews 4 ай бұрын
@@miscwork-qb7pd I have no experience with the IE200. The S12 itself is still a great set, and I plan on doing an "S12 buyers guide" video in the near future; but I wouldn't recommend it because the NiceHCK F1 Pro exists with almost identical tuning and a very similar accessories package. And that has a street price of around $75-85 these days

Curious to see your opinion if you compare the EW300 with Delci AE as it's more similar in terms that both have tuning nozzles. Seeing as you've the HBB version, that might pose some difference, especially since the HBB tuning is slightly different from the OG/DSP variant. Would love to see your reviews for it. The Delci itself is great if you isn't too fond of brighter tunings, but if those don't have it, and want options, the Delci AE is a good choice. What I've heard where there EW300 (either variants) have an edge is that the treble is smoother and less peaky in some parts. Can't wait to hear your review on the EW300. Do you have all the versions of EW300? Or just the HBB?
@AudioAmigoReviews
@AudioAmigoReviews 4 ай бұрын
I have just the HBB version, as of right now, I don't have the funding for all three. I'll discuss this more in the full EW300 review, but I contacted both Linsoul and Simgot and I was told by Linsoul that the normal and HBB versions are essentially the same, and that any tuning differences are down to manufacturing tolerances. I honestly don't know who to believe. Simgot themselves use slightly different graphs on the box. I really wish they were more transparent about the tuning on these, as it makes it difficult to shop for the set you want and leads to buyers remorse in my opinion. I personally believe that all 3 are SLIGHTLY different from each other, but I don't know how much of that difference is really audible without being able to compare them. The biggest difference maker is the nozzle swap.
@miershyk
@miershyk 4 ай бұрын
@@AudioAmigoReviews That's my thought exactly. From what HBB himself said of his collab, if the DSP version's cable is switched to analogue, it'll sound very similar to the HBB version. The HBB's one has slightly more bass and a touch more treble compared to the OG. You're right, the graphs on all three has slight minute variances too and it's hard to decide which to get. There's the tuning nozzle, plus adding the black foam in the nozzle also tweaks the sound in addition to the tuning nozzle. Either way, looking forward to your HBB version review.

People recommending delci AE or EW300 as first sets are crazy. Even if they sound better, you don't want changeable nozzles as a first timer! For beginners used to tws or free earbuds, iems are already complicated enough with the 2-pin cable As for OG delci, I like this set and it's good for beginners, but it's slightly soured by the company releasing the AE version so quickly. Honestly it might turn me off any new releases by Kefine, as who knows how quickly they'll just release upgrades
@AudioAmigoReviews
@AudioAmigoReviews 4 ай бұрын
I can agree with this. Especially for people coming from TWS and earbuds, changeable nozzles are WAY too fiddly. I tend not to recommend IEMs over $40-50 for complete beginners at all unless the person really has cash to burn because in my experience, 40% of the people who want to try IEMs end up abandoning them for various reasons. Even then, if someone completely new wants to drop $50+ on their first set of IEMs, I try to steer them towards a more affordable option in case they end up hating how they fit in their ears.

@@AudioAmigoReviews This is fair enough, but I feel sometimes low budget sets just feel way too cheap and flimsy, it doesn't draw confidence for beginners, even if their sound is good (e.g. gate and Wan'er). This is why I say spend a little more, something like delci is perfect, because outside the better sound, it has good build quality, a really nice cable, enough tips and a proper case
@AudioAmigoReviews
@AudioAmigoReviews 4 ай бұрын
@@miscwork-qb7pd I can agree with that as well. The two budget IEMs in my “Brilliant” Tier are Full metal shells or metal faceplates for durability. The Chu 2 is the most complete package, yeah the included pouch isn’t as nice as a zippered case. But it’s still a good starter set. I will recommend stuff in the $50-$90 range for people who are coming from other in-ears. Especially if they know what sound signature they want.
