I watched 1:30 and had to stop the video to say this is the best KZbin RC channel. As soon as I am able I will support you financially, keep up the good work Rob, will try to come and visit you when I have the chance.

That is such a lovely vintage control line wing shape and will look lovely in full flight,so pleased that you have opted for radio control conversion as really there are few places to fly control line models today apart from the shows, the problem is the sound is localised and irritating as well, the last thing you want are any noise issues from the local bunnies. Strange how those parts have been lasered undersized as there really is no excuse for this especially if things are measured up correctly,a laser kit should fit like a glove in your hands inter locking after all they are not cheap one bit, they could have easily upgraded certain areas to accomodate this,I am wary of so called laser kit conversions and the only one that I have found well done are the Guillows laser scale model revamps. The fuel tubing for use with diesel engines is called 'Neoprene' diesel fuel especially the ether content will attack ordinary silicone tube within seconds and it expands,at one time model shops sold lots of this stuff from reels,it has a very low useage life and goes brittle very quickly, ether is very searching and will leach into balsa wood like a sponge, all of the bulkhead and forward areas need copious fuel proofing, the best fuel proofer was a product marketed by Ripmax called Tufcote but I understand this two part proofer is no longer available,in that case Furniglass made an identical product which is ideal, just remember to use it outdoors as this stuff stinks and the smell lingers too,try your local hardware shop for this Rob. We used to solder up Colmans mustard tins to make up fuel tanks with copper tube vents and overflow,to test them we dunked them under water and blew through one tube to see if there were any leaks, all of this was a long while ago but I remember it like yesterday.

Have you made the left wing 1" longer than the right wing as stated on the plan? I expect you probably haven't, but as you pan across each wing half, it does look like the left wing is longer - perfect for control line, not so good for RC.

Both wings panels are the same size.
