I bought this same model from Motion RC about two years ago. I sold it fight away after it's maiden flight because I thought it was the worst ARF I ever saw. I did a somewhat negative review but it was never posted. I commented on a post about it and found another guy that also gave it a negative review and it was also never posted on Motion RC either.

Great! 👍Get a camera mounted on it! I imagine you can get long flight times, power up - glide down style. 👏👏👏👏👏

I have just started building this and I think my comments are that the design is clever but probably more related to 'we have a box of dimensions x*y*z, lets design a model to fit in it. Construction is more akin to a jigsaw puzzle than traditional building. The lazer cutting is very good, the quality of the wood fine, the instructions very poor, the plans poor and clearly there are some issues - rudder is too small, no tailplane struts, wing struts too long. Don't they do a test build/flight? At this scale the cockpit detail is important but absent (ok depends on what you are after) and the method of construction means if you want to add the detail the cockpit interior does not look right. Its my 2nd Chinese 'kit' and my first one a Tony Ray Minimoa 2, ended as scrap during the build. That's it for me and no more so called 'kits' from China . They are relatively expensive and its safer to get a lazer parts and plans from a well known name which for a similar price you get something larger/more in scale. At least with proper plans if you damage a part, you can re-cut based on the plans. Many people will disagree I am sure.

Just started building this, starting with the tail plane. I see it now on your video (did not notice it to start with) but building its apparent the drawings (at least for the tail plane) are not the same size as the parts. So, I am starting with the left hand side and 'letting' the parts then dictate the build....but using the tail plane rear spar as the set-out as this must be straight and square. Not a disaster but very annoying nonetheless.

Sorry to hear of your friend's loss....On a happier note, how's the Miles Hawk Major coming along ?
I would love to convert my old MRC 765 to 2.4ghz but keep my long fishing pole telescoping antenna with my two color ribbon on it just for looks.

I know that this video is 6 years old, but it is still the only decent covering tutorial on KZbin! I have been modelling and building since the mid 1990's but had a life break for around 15 years and have recently got back into the hobby. Some of my models suffered from the inevitable hanger rash in the mean time and I decided to recover my Ben Buckle Super 60 ch4. Since I haven't covered anything in around 20 years I had forgotten most of it! Your video has helped refresh my memory and has given me the confidence to "just get on with it"! Thanks for that and keep up the good work, this is an excellent instructional and great video work. Thank You, Aspie_Geek_UK

My kit has arrived! It is quite a bit different compared to yours. The engine is completely built from laser cut ply, the cowl is in clear celluloid/plastic and is only 1 1/4 inches deep the wheels are different and I will probably find more. Loved watching your build, keep up the good work!

In flight it looked frontheavy to me: the tail was hanging, meaning that the plane needed elevator up to counteract the nose heaviness.

Great vid, I've watched a few of your other build/fly reviews, This is another DW flying brick, like the Storch. Maybe next time just cut the lower edge of the rudder to clear the elevator, less work and how scale can the plane look with a pair of servo's hanging out of it's ass.

Make an extension for the battery cable so it reaches outside the plane to plug it in.
