A two child benefit cap is a great idea. Only one wife should be covered by welfare too. Immigrants who haven't worked for three months should receive no benefit. If not worked for five months, deport. No benefits to people who came into the country illegally or who remain here illegally, confiscate all assets and deport, along with family members. No exceptions.

As an ESOL teacher I know many people did this via Spain (setlle there from Latin America and Africa gain citizenship and relocate legally) The issue is our political elite won't tighten up immigration (legal and illegal) for decades. And treat it as an intractable problem that the working classes must accept. BTW, it's not just benefits, but free education, healthcare, access to jobs, etc.

We want a referendum on our membership of the ECHR. We should allow the people to decide on this matter through a democratic vote. This referendum should address the following questions: 1. Mums get enough, what about dad's who pay Child maintenance with no end of pay now or face jail threats then we are expected to then have kids at the weekend so in effect paying two lots of child maintenance in effect, men survive on their one wage, women get child benefit, tax benefit, housing benefit all the way until their kid is 7 and they finally have to go get a job, too many lazy women in this country who rather than work, open their legs and expect more benefits. @@TazziedoesWT Poverty isn't eating chicken dippers because that's all you can afford. Poverty is kids dying of diseases and drinking water filled with cholera. It's genuinely offensive using the word poverty to describe British children.

@@Jim90117 The definition of poverty changes in regard to the socio-economic state of the country. The poor in England are poor, but in regards to India would be doing relatively well. The problem is, cost of living has got so out of hand that your holiday towns by the sea have all but died, and what were "cheap" meals have all but ceased. Fish and Chips for example was a workers meal. By the end of this year half of the chippies will close down due to the outrageous costs of business due to inflation. The national average for fish and chips is 12-15 pounds. Some places charge 10 for just the chips and curry. its gotten out of hand regardless of how you define poverty.

We need a benefit system overhaul in the UK, why is it OK for a person to have 5 children but never work a day, contributing to the economy but have more money through benefit than a person that works? The benefit system decentivises working and attracts people that come to the UK to abuse it.
