The Line 6 Metallurgy Modern is a guitar amplifier and effects plugin that was created specifically for guitarists who want to quickly access contemporary versions of classic and modern metal tones.
Amplifier Models: The plugin features amplifier and effects models drawn from the award-winning HX product family, ensuring exceptional sound quality and dynamic response. It focuses on the burning, saturated tones of modern and progressive metal, with an emphasis on the mid-range and tight low end favored by extended range and downtuned guitarists.
Amplifier Types: The plugin features four amplifier types that can be paired with any of the eight speaker cabinets.
Microphones and Impulse Responses: Two microphones can be selected from a virtual “microphone cabinet” containing eight microphone types, and these can be combined with a stereo room microphone array. Up to two third-party impulse responses (IRs) can be substituted for the factory microphones.
Pre and Post-Amplifier Effects: Four pre-amplifier and three post-amplifier effects are provided, including polyphonic pitch-shifting. A noise gate and a chromatic tuner are also provided.
