They just made a movie about Elvis to be released in June 2022,,, Someone needs to make a great movie about Jackie!! What a talent I believe if/ when the youth start listening to much of the old music they will be in for a treat!! I want to hear truth!! I hope Elvis movie is full of it!!! One example is Elvis was not a racist, Elvis and Jackie were friends, Elvis helped Jackie and paid his medical bills after Jackie’s heart attack!! Bring the truth!! Jackie was so under rated!! Soar and sing/ dance with the angels Jackie/ Elvis!!! 💕

this is from a 1972 pbs show.elvis fans prefer elvis and jackie wilson fans prefer jackie. the truth is elvis wanted to be jackie and jackie wanred to be elvis. so if they respected each other we should too. in retrospect we can credit them both for being amazing showmen and unlike todays artists they weren,t choreographed and didn't lipsynch. amazing.

If u notice jacke never needed any crossroads, or anything to sing it was God given talent and he wasn't shy singing about God in his songs, and he lived a lot longer than his buddy Sam Cooke, Otis Redding. Jackie was blessed he enjoyed his life and singing and entertainment he was the best at! Like Sammy or Elvis! Or James Brown God bless u Jackie.as u blessed the audience, my favorite singer!

I saw him perform live once in March 1968 when he headlined at The Cheetah in Venice Beach. His band; Alexander's Timeless Blooz Band, had a tight horn section and along with Jackie's dancing drove the crowd wild. The females there went crazy during "Higher and Higher". I saw Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, Janis Joplin, Led Zeppelin, Cream, the Stones and The Dead, Genesis and Frampton and other dynamic artists (front row center stuff) in concert but I will never forget his performance that night.

Jackie Wilson, like James Brown, was an amateur boxer, hence, his fabulous dance routines. I also saw Jackie live many times at the Apollo, Brevort Theater in Brooklyn, Alan Freed's shows at the Brooklyn Paramount, and let's not forget the televised Ed Sullivan Show during the 1950's when he showed the white audience and television viewers how very talented he was with his classic dance steps and tenor voice singing "Lonely Teardrops"!

You only have to read the comments posted on here to see how loved Jackie was as a performing artist, he has always been greatly respected on the Northern soul scene in England . Saw Chuck Jackson perform a couple of years back and he paid tribute to Jackie for discovering him and getting him on at the Apollo Theatre, That got an ovation from the audiance. So sad he died penniless in such circumstances, hope he's smiling down now on how we love what he gave us !!! KTF
