I love that sign. 35 below for two days up here in the north, with 15 to 20 MPH winds. Ah, winter on the farm. I'm waiting for spring!

I remember having a bulk tank like that. Back in 1978 we went to a bigger one. The old tank is still catching maple sap in the neighbor's woods.

That's funny, in a ditch in our woods we still have a couple old milk can coolers sitting.

WOW!! -14 that's COLD!!🥶 I don't know what I hate most the extreme cold or those 100+ humid days we get here in the south. Both are hard to endure! Nice video!!

Nice! Almost makes a fella rethink that bowl of ice cream for breakfast. In my case, the cold has not yet changed my plans for ice cream and coffee. I invite everyone to join in. Keith-

Stay warm Wilson and family. My opinion on the refrigerator shelf window, who cares what it looks like, its doing a good job.

Not too many would see it back there anyway ;) The farmer's wife appreciates not getting hit with so much wind when she opens the door to that room.

Was that a railroad crossbuck I spied by the silage pile? The cold just makes doing everything twice as hard. Thanks for the updates!
@KeithFinkFamilyFarm13 күн бұрын
Ah, yes, good eye for details! You must be a model railroader... the crossbuck is just another unfinished restoration project that mocks me and my lack of time whenever I pass by.

Hi Wilson, great video! Ugh, I can remember winter on the farm with the frozen water lines and difficulty getting tractors started. There's always some type of challenge that frozen hands have to deal with.

How come you don't use the silo?
@KeithFinkFamilyFarm15 күн бұрын
It is a matter of efficiency - labor, time, and equipment. We'll have to do an explanation of that in a future video.

@KeithFinkFamilyFarm we have a 12 by 30 that we still fill every year with corn silage but plan on getting a grinder blower and filing it with dry cracked corn and not worry about using the cribs anymore
