HI Keith , I have a 19 Husky FE501 and I run 14:45 gearing and it works really well, I never feel like it's bogging down ever, I just did a 1200Klm run over the last couple of days in the sand and mud , I got 21.7 Klm per Litre , I did have 14:48 but found it a little buzzy on the road , the USA model runs 14:45 Std so Thats what I thought I'd try, I can't be happier.

Hi, Keith. I noticed whole watching your video. "Great stuff". I noticed that the front sprocket has abnormal ware to one side of the sprocket has. This would suggest that your wheel at the rear is not centered, or the chain is running on an angle. My SWM RS 500 had the same problem and found that the sprocket on the front was not to standard dimensions. It was sitting in too far against the chain.

Hey Keith, I notice that you don't run a cush drive hub, I'm not sure if you have covered this on other videos, but just wondering what your thoughts are on them? I'm guessing that you don't see the need for one on this bike. I'm setting up a 2015, FE501 and wondering if I should get one.

Yeah, never felt the need for one on the 500. I'd like to try one to compare, but don't know anyone with one.

Hey Keith. What did you make of the 48t then? Did you swap back to the 50t?

I have kept the 48 rear, I like it.

I am looking forward to 14/48 this ride, but very keen to put the 15 back on afterwards. Speedster 😜
