I listened to this song every day after my ex did me wrong. I just KNEW it would be relevant some day. Sure enough... his life is crap and his sister told me how he felt about everything. Meanwhile I fall asleep with my husband every night after tucking our 2 kids in, waiting for the birth of our twins this winter. Yeah. I feel better knowing he thinks of me and what all happened. Easily one of the best and most memorable country songs of 2005. What a masterpiece this is! Love the country house in So Cal there as well. You can hear the sadness in this song. When he sings esp. "Seems the only blessing I have to my name, is not knowing what we could have been, what we should have been" I used to get teared up.
