This film is so wonderful and always has been, and now it's bittersweet and painful. It reminds me so much of my nearly life-long best friend who left me because she found a boy instead. Just two wild girls innocently experiencing the world together through a different lens than anyone else. We had a secret language between us, understood one another almost telepathically sometimes. Then she just disappeared one day, all because of a boyfriend. I've never truly mourned that loss until now, and I am crying.
