Kelley F5 Redwood/Koa mandolin

This is a great mandolin. 1850 redwood top with 100 year old red spruce tone bars, Koa back, sides and neck.

Earl, thanks. I love the tone you can get from redwood. I got this wood from Ken Ratliff. It was cut in 1850.

Hey Skip! Glad to have found you on KZbin! My names Josh, you may or may not remember my mandolin. Think it was back around 2014 I brought you my Clawson mandolin and had you do some work on it for me. Basically it was in need or a new or refreshed setup. Scooped the extension for me, touched up the frets believe you put a new nut in as well. It sounded and played better than ever and still does to this day! I’d love to have you build me a mandolin one day. I guess your still taking x-rays? Hope you and your family are doing well.
