Right now in New Jersey it's cold very cold we have a nor'easter that started in the morning with sleep freezering and changed all over rain but parts of New York and upstate PA we're supposed to get snow and ice. Next week is supposed to be even colder with a chance of snow right before Christmas.

Omg lol, I’m from New York and also partially grew up in Jersey…Once I moved West it took me quite some time to get used to the speed at which people move their bodies. I lived in Portland for a couple of years and now I’ve been living in Denver awhile. It’s definitely slower and on top of that, sometimes I still struggle with miscommunication because I’m more of a direct person. It’s just a completely different vibe than what I grew up with in an East coast Italian family.

The Wetlands Park is a nature area with trails, I usually go in winter and spring. It's a nice area for a nature walk or photo shoot. I don't drink or gamble either 😊 I love the Bellagio and Sunset casino or Sam's town in Henderson. I used to have family in the Midwest that would laugh at me bc when I went there I'd chug lots of water. You literally HAVE to have water here, make sure you stay safe and also keep water in your cars.

I’m glad you mentioned learning about staying hydrated in this dry climate. A lot of people who move or vacation out in the southwest don’t realize that and in my state we have vacationers die who come from out of state and try hiking in the summer with inadequate water. Personally I always carry water with me and if you go hiking bring 5-6 liters of water per person + always hike early in the morning or at night in the hot season to avoid the hottest part of the day.

Nope! I never knew Roundabouts were a mostly European thing until I moved to Canada. I still haven't been able to get the courage to drive here due to the turning on Red, no turn roads, etc, etc, etc - I freak out whenever I get a cab anywhere because I still can't understand the flow of traffic 😂 **edit** - now I'm stuck in deep research on the difference between a roundabout & a traffic circle.. Never heard of the 2nd one before 😂

That’s super frustrating about the moving insurance (and movers in general). The first time I used movers, it was horrible. I moved again about 6 months ago and was really dreading that part, but my second movers were amazing. I think with big companies sometimes it comes down to the luck of the draw of which movers get assigned to you unfortunately. But like you said, you really do forget about a lot of that after you’re more settled, fortunately.

Flaky skin tip if you want it lol! A lot of moisturizers rely on pulling moisture from the air to hydrate your skin. Getting a humidifier by your desk or your bed can help increase your lotion's effectiveness. Canopy makes a really good one that doesn't mist (which will reduce the chances of mold in your apartment from moisture puddles).

Also omg jughandles wtf. The first time I drove in NJ I was 18 and my friend kept telling me to make a U-turn and that I kept missing the U-turns...uhhh cause they were jughandles and I was looking on the wrong side of the road. 😐 NJ driving is shenanigans every time, lol, the roads there are so weird!

"Well I paid for it, so I feel like I can have it how I want it." 😆 100%!!!!! I love tea but I find it's always a bit better with honey and sometimes cream. The thing I love about rooibos is you can usually add cream to it without it separating. Cream generally separates and gets all weird and chunky with herbal teas sadly enough. I feel like honey brings out a few of the flavors that you can't really taste otherwise and then cream sometimes makes it an entirely different experience! 😋🫖🍵

We learned how to make u-turns in driver's ed! I'm from rural Iowa, so there's often space and time. If you're on a two-lane road (one road per driving direction) with no parking, you have to wait until an intersection. Start turning right to give yourself more room to crank the wheel to the left, using the whole intersection for the turn. Bigger roads are easier but more busy, and I just could not do that myself 😂I'd be way too nervous Anyway, thank you for the Q+A and the updates! :D I really enjoy your Vlogmas, it legitimately brightens my day

Who said it only gets into the 50s in Vegas, they must not live here? Maybe during the day but at night in the winter it is regularly in the 30s. I'm sure you know that now though. Autumn and winter are definitely my favorite as far as weather in Vegas, well, and I guess just in general since I love the holiday seasons, especially Halloween. When I first moved to Vegas in the early 2000s I remember a few winters it geting down into the teens and below. Now the lows will only be in the 20s a few times throughout the winter. It used to almost always snow at least once or twice too. Then we would have long spans of no snow. Since 2018 it's pretty much snowed at least once every winter now. Not usually snow that sticks but sometimes it does. It happened at least 3 times this year while I was at work down off of blue diamond. Not sure if you experienced any snow where you are at. But you are definitely correct about it feeling a lot colder here due to the low humidity. Im just so glad we haven't had any days over 100 yet. So not normal for this time of year, but I'm not complaining at all. Im not looking forward to them. 🥵

My love has worked at a few different casinos and I have worked at one, and it just depends. They were all tribal owned, so that could also have something to do with it, but the one that we both worked at first allowed their workers to play after their shifts, then it had to change to they couldn't have been their that day, then changed to the workers couldn't win over a certain amount or have family working while you are playing, to finally just not letting them play at that casino. Other surrounding casinos would do the same thing with first allowing to then not allowing. You should look into dealing cards because they do make great money or a slot tech, but the casino life isn't for everyone.

12:46 "The Clark County Wetlands Park is the largest park in the Clark County, Nevada park system. The park is on the east side of the Las Vegas valley ." You like getting outside. Anyone raised in urban areas and not exposed to natural ecosystems and how they work is really disconnected from what nature and her systems truly are and how we are a part of those systems, and how a capitalistic country intentionally disconnects you from knowing about them so you rely on corporations who make money off of you. Example: taking your water away from you and selling it back to you when it should be a human right. That your "waste" is actually a "resource". We have 40% food waste in this country, most of it in the home. There are more microbes in one healthy teaspoon of soil (not tablespoon) than there are *people on the planet*. Soil is *alive* and those microbes are HUNGRY. Instead we dose them with toxins (pesticides/herbicides) leave the soil bare (not good and increases atmospheric temperatures), and put organic matter in plastic bags that go into a landfill which is a lot of time, money, space, transportation, moving organic matter to landfills that don't go back to the soil feed the soil microbes. Our soil cleans our water grows plants which produce food and medicine, grow trees that produce wood for shelter and tools. We'd have a cooler earth and less devastating wild fires if we learned more about how to steward our Earth by feeding the soil, planting native plants, and understanding the ecosystems around us.
