HOLY F'N SH*T!!!! How did it take 10yrs for this to come across my recommended videos? I can't believe I never saw it with all the other live cuts I've watched of Kelly. Not sure how many men realize what an amazing artist she is. I'm happy to defend my fandom when friends tease me for enjoying her music. She's so not the commercial candy that we expect from shows like American Idol. She's unique, passionate & a true artist in her own right- add that to those amazing pipes & I personally don't believe any other "big name" out there is on her level. Anna Nalick has always been a huge fave of mine & I loved this song when it came out. It's always been high on my list. I loved it because Anna was so heartfelt in her music- the words hit me deep at the time & helped a friend of mine who was going through a tough time. She really connected with the lyrics. I really hope Anna got a chance to see this. Kelly took her beautiful words & added a whole other level of intense emotion to it. Thank you soooo much Shelbi for sharing this!!!

Hey, it's hard be hip sometimes. Back around 2004 I started listening to 'Pandora' while working in my home office. Over the next few years I "discovered" several very cool artists about whom I knew nothing. Anna Nalick was just one of them. Don't need to tell you....great songs and a very good singer. Clarkson has got to be one of the more 'real' people who came out of that whole 'tv star' thing, and it's especially nice to see how much she appreciates music and JUST SINGING. Another good yet obscure KC performance, is from a TV show....probably a reunion of the first show she was on or something. She sings 'Up To The Mountain' (originally written and recorded by an earlier artist Patty Griffin) and NAILS it. Playing along with her was a classic yet truly great guitarist Jeff Beck. Just shows how hip she is.

This is an amazing cover. Kelly is really talented. Anna Nalick is just as talented in her own style. One is a power singer and the other is a more of a folk singer. I’ve never understood why Anna hasn’t become a mega star. She is as talented as any super star out there.
