Can’t wait to see more Kelly reactions form you! She can literally sing anything, Country, Rock, Pop, R&B, Rap, Opera, Broadway, Movie themes, anything! Seriously! I can’t think of anyone else who has performed all these genres and has pulled them all off! As an example, look at her opening medleys when she hosted the Billboard Music Awards. That’s just a sample!

You need to hear the original by singer-songwriter Bobbie Gentry who wrote the classic while working with the legendary producer Rick Hall at Muscle Shoals Fame Studio in Alabama. Despite being banded on hundreds of radio stations in secondary markets, the Gentry single went #31 pop, #26 country #8 adult contemporary and even nicked the lower rungs of r&b charts.. It spent an incredible 14 weeks on the pop hot 100 earning Bobbie a pop female grammy nomination and a top country female A.C.M nomination. In Canada, the Gentry single went #1 country, #26 pop. There is nothing bombastic in the original. It is a sultry blues infused masterpiece. Reba's power vocal completely altered the style of the original.

She (or someone) needs to release her versions of many songs, even if it's just for charity. This is one I LOVE, as well as her singing "The Dance" for Garth Brooks' Kennedy Center Honors. I truly love her voice. She is a treasure in so many ways.

That guy rockin' out at 5:18 is Adam Lambert (who's been singing with Queen the last few years). The event is the Kennedy Center Honors, one of the highest awards for the arts in America. That same night Cher was being celebrated and Adam sang "Believe" as a stripped-down ballad, bringing everyone (including Cher) to tears. It's definitely worth a look! Cheers.

Adam was also on American Idol. He was runner-up his season but he should have won. Only reason he didn't was because he wore makeup and is gay.

@@MaRoach7 Yes, it was actually a performance on "Idol" that caught the attention of Queen and led them to contacting him. They confirmed that it was his version of "Whole Lotta Love" by Led Zeppelin that put him on their radar!

There is a video of them both singing this in a medley at Kellys meaning of life tour in 2018 on Kellys Chanel in Nashville and they went to sing it and messed it up. It’s pretty cool. When you mentioned about not messing up the Star Spangled Banner, it made me think of 2 other performances of hers that you might want to check out. One was My Country Tis of Thee at the 2013 inauguration. The other is the Star spangled Banner at the 2018 Indy 500. Wasn't her 1st time performing that...also at Football games etc
