My dad left all 4 of use because he wanted to single. My youngest brother was extremely abused by my step-dad. He never hit me. I watched helpless watch my brother go through hell. My mother never stopped him. My brother was murdered at 22. It hurt more now that l'm older. I hate the holidays. Dec 4th is his birthday. We were 14 months apart.

I am so very sorry they lost your brother, and in such a horrible way. That’s a pain that’s too deep and no words will make it OK. But like you said you’re older now you can see things differently and you can break those generational curses continue to fight , fight to live, the fight to control your pain And to be the one that no matter how many times in your life, you have been knocked down and your knees are bloody. You stand up and you keep going! , No, you’re not alone. I lost my daughter to suicide on Christmas Eve, three months before that I lost my soulmate and then I found out I had cancer and a few months later my best friend died because I forced her to go get a mammogram and then six months later my mother passed. I was taking care of. He left us just like that and never looked back mentally broke. She just couldn’t cope with four kids and being single. People do not understand that one action they take is a huge domino effect, and all that therapy in the world will never change that feeling that is a roadmap from your head to your heart. All you can do is learn to take one day at a time look up , you somehow survived and that you’re meant to be here and you’re worth is endless!!!! But I definitely understand about the holidays! 🙏💔🕊️😢

Jason Halbert the pianist is an absolute masterpieces. He has been playing piano with Kelly for 20 years. They are magic together and he has always instinctively known how to follow her timing.
@davidboschi

Agreed, as a pianist myself people don’t understand how difficult it is to do that. And he did it so flawlessly, almost like they both knew the exact note where to pick up. Almost like it was rehearsed when it clearly wasn’t.
@destinywhite2063
@destinywhite2063 Жыл бұрын
@@davidboschiWell, as a pianist, you’re leaving a crucial point out. Jason is a pianist, true, but he is accompanying her. He’s NOT the leader, she’s the leader, she’s the singer. That’s not to hurt him, that’s a fact. When Jason plays for her, it’s his job to know where she is in the music and if she messes up, he has to keep playing, he cannot simply stop. If nothing else, he has to chord until she rights herself and finds her place in the music again. I’ve played the clarinet for years, and played solos with piano accompaniment. Accompaniment follows you, they don’t lead you. My mother played recitals too and her accompaniment knew her like Jason knew Kelly. My mom’s senior college recital, there was a particular run she had endless problems with. She had to play it in triple time to get it right. She got really nervous, and her accompaniment told her, “don’t worry about me, if I lose you, I know how to chord.” So, she played and did that run in triple time. Her accompaniment lost her and had to chord😂. Mom got a standing ovation and an “A”. No one was the wiser. There’s only so much practicing you can do. Being a piano accompaniment is a skill not many pianists have or can do. It does take a lot of talent to be able to do it. Not all accompaniments are good either.

My bio-dad was in and out of my life for my whole childhood. I'd see him on special occasions, and if I went to my grandmother's house. I can remember praying, as a 13 year old girl, that he'd come see my basketball game. He did come, but he left before he ever said a word to me. That was par for the course with him. This song can honestly be about my adoptive dad and my husband. My mom remarried when I was 16. Her new husband took me in as his own and adopted me before I turned 18. Around the same time that my mom and my dad started dating, I started dating my husband. We've been married for 22 years also and have 4 boys together. I think collectively my dad and my husband healed my little girl heart!

Piece by Piece - Kelly Clarkson And all I remember is your back Walking towards the airport, leaving us all in your past I traveled fifteen hundred miles to see you Begged you to want me, but you didn't want to But piece by piece, he collected me up Off the ground, where you abandoned things, yeah Piece by piece, he filled the holes that you burned in me At six years old and you know He never walks away He never asks for money He takes care of me He loves me Piece by piece, he restored my faith That a man can be kind and a father could stay And all of your words, they fall flat I made something of myself and now you wanna come back But your love, it isn't free, it has to be earned Back then I didn't have anything you needed, so I was worthless But piece by piece, he collected me up Off the ground, where you abandoned things, yeah Piece by piece he filled the holes that you burned in me At six years old and you know He never walks away He never asks for money He takes care of me 'Cause he loves me Piece by piece, he restored my faith That a man can be kind and a father could stay Piece by piece Piece by piece, I fell far from the tree I will never leave her like you left me And she will never have to wonder her worth Because unlike you, I'm gonna put her first and you know He'll never walk away He'll never break her heart He'll take care of things, he'll love her Piece by piece, he restored my faith That a man can be kind and the father should be great Piece by piece

The emotions displayed during live performances like this can never be recorded in a studio. No doubt, when anyone hears "American Idol", the first image in their mind is Kelly, and this performance highlights why she is the idol queen. She's always been classy, love her.

This breaks me into tears everytime, my father left me when I was 9 an never once told me he loved me, so I made sure that the father of my child would never do that to my daughter! I want for her what I couldn't have, but I wish so badly I could have had a relationship with my father... 😭

I too was crying with you, as were many others. Life for many are not as it should be, as long as we can be rocks for our own children. Love this song.❤

This version is so much better the record. The emotions 😢 are so real beautiful. I grew up with both my parents, but my father was a narcissist, I sometimes think it would have been better to grow up without him. Narcissists are so toxic they like making you feel like something is wrong with you. You end up always questioning yourself.

I have raised my grandson ever since he moved in with me and his grandpa at 9 years of age and going into the 3rd. grade. And his own dad dropped out of his life since he was2 years old and never seen him ever again. His own mother abandoned him twice once he was born then his great grandma got sick and couldn't take care of him anymore. And then he lived with his mom for 2 years and then he was sent to me his grandma and grandpa at 9 years old. And this song i can relate to very well concerning my own beautiful kind hearted grandson that we as grandparents raised. He doesn't want anything to with his parents and possibly never will. But it's their loss not ours but it still breaks my heart and hurts me every single time I think about it when the first day that i realize that I was going to help raise my grandson. He's now in college and i never been so proud of anyone in my life as i am for my smart intelligent grandson.

This song definitely gets me every time I hear it. My "dad" was never there from day 1, I learned at an early age he wasn't something I needed in my life. I reached out countless times when I was younger, the bigger person should never have to be the kid. Do better "parents".

When we first come into this world, we are welcomed by a loving, caring and protective embrace from a man. That man is our dad, the first and only man in this world who truly loves us and loves us UNCONDITIONALLY. There can be guys who love us when we grow up but it is hard to find a man who loves us like a father loves his daughter. And that guy is one in a million☺️❤️
