It’s criminal what happened to this woman after her second album…she continued working hard and grew artistically but the industry and public at large turned their backs on her during the late 80s and throughout the 90s. I am so glad she has now achieved legend status, she absolutely deserves it.

I got to see Cindy in my town Poughkeepsie NYwhen she was checking out from the hotel I was working Raddison .She was in her lates 30's and the most beautiful skin and she had no makeup. She was so beautiful and still is❤

I was 14 in 1983 and mostly listening to hard rock, but I always tried to listen to everything. When Cyndi Lauper came onto the scene, I was amazed at how unique she was and how she took her songs to the next level and continued to have great songs. All I can say is Thank you for being you and sharing your life thru your music. I've enjoyed your music and always will. You've always been a legend in the industry and have helped pave the way for so many musicians and people thru the years that love your music. Sorry to say that it is human nature to shy away from something that you don't know or unusual, so hopefully the industry will see their blind mistake before it's too late and give you the credit you deserve.
