Kelly, you're not going to understand this, but you have serendipitously hiked into my life. I am a 76 year old retired pastor who lives in Cuba New Mexico and was born in Heber Springs. I pastor part-time an old small congregation. Today is Election Day and the Country and little Church, as an extension of that, is facing deep pain and division. You walked through Cuba a few days ago and are headed for Heber Springs in the video above. You are the parable of my spiritual journey, and an inspiration. I highly recommend you go at your own pace away from your trail family. They have their trail legs on. You are fresh and will likely require a slow ramp back up. Take it easy. Lots of beautiful hikers to meet out there. All my best and will continue to follow your journey

Glad you are heading back on trail, I feel your pain, I got hospitalised with gynaecological problems 2 weeks before I was due to fly out to Nepal to do the Annapurna Circuit, sat in A&E in tears refusing surgery because they were destroying my dreams.. yeah I was a brat (even worse, I worked at the hospital and knew everybody). Turns out I didn't need surgery urgently and still got to go but for 2 days seemed very unlikely. Look after yourself and take your time. So excited for you, happy trails.
