A lot of these food spots were tourist spots BUT many are still worth it. I thought the dessert list was better than the food list. Bar hopping in Belltown is fun and there's great food there. Bangrak for Thai, Roccos for pizza, and right now on Thursdays Screwdriver Bar has different restaraunt popups serving food. Unicorn Bar is in Capitol Hill and I don't recommend it on a weekend cause of the line/wait for drinks. I'd go to that bar earlier in the day (I think they open at 4?) on a weekday.

This was such a great, thorough video. I moved to Seattle from LA for all the reasons you mentioned here. The city really is a perfect balance of city and nature. People here can always tell I’m from California because I still say “the 5” instead of, “I-5” or “the 90” instead of, “I-90”. Lol. One of my favorite breakfast places is Portage Bay. They have great, fresh farm-to-table food. Plus vegetarian and gluten free options. For brunch, Joli in the Phinney Ridge area is good. And of course, there’s Greenlake park for paddle boarding and such!

You can't leave out Temple Pastries, and Raised Doughnuts for pastries. Don't forget about Milstead & Co for Coffee, The many amazing Ethiopian Restaurants in the Central District (Ras Dashen being my personal fav). Seattle Fish Guys for really solid Poke. Senor Moose & Fonda La Catrina for amazing Mexican brunch. And finally Canon for some amazing cocktails.

Well I lived in Seattle my entire life until last year, and I still live in the Seattle area. Have fun visiting and seeing all this cool stuff, but beware that there are thousands of unsheltered homeless camping throughout all this great stuff, and many are mentally ill. You'll see things when you actually get here that are not in travel videos. I recommend keeping pepper spray with you at all times, and be aware of your surroundings and what's going on around you while you are sightseeing. Not here to be a "party pooper" but just being real for anyone who is actually planning a visit. Finally, I'm referring to incorporated Seattle. The surrounding suburban townships are far more normal.

@@mikebreler9724 Thanks for the advice. I am flying there in a few weeks so I will have to buy pepper spray somewhere over there, I am just taking carry-ons for the flight.

Thanks for the details on which side of the plane to sit on to get the best view when flying into Seattle. Since you use starboard and port terms, for those who don’t know these terms, starboard is right side and port side is left side.

This was so well done! I moved here just before covid from CA too. The flora/fauna can't be beaten. I'm consistently blown away by how beautiful it is here(and always in awe of the elusive Mt. Rainier). :)

Do you miss the sun? Debating if I can even live in Seattle since I have been in CA for 30 years. Love the idea of many nature there.

Thank you for including Udistrict and Cap hill. Most of these WHAT TO DO IN SEATTLE videos only talk about Downtown and Pike Place Seattle has soooooo many other places that are less crowded. I've been here since 2009 and have yet to go to any tourist-y landmarks cuz its always way too overwhelming and busy. I absolutely recommend the Wallingford/Fremont/Ballard areas as well! Many awesome local shops, boutiques, dive bars, eaterys and fun venues to check out.

My issue with most of the videos, is they cover the touristy spots, primarily. I want to visit but want to avoid the overwhelming crowds. I want to be in the areas less frequented by constant crowds and traffic.

Kelly!! Wow... After watching your video with my wife, we are totally stoked on visiting your fantastic looking city! It will be our first time visiting Seattle and my first time near the PNW since 1998 when me and my family visited SF! 😳 (My mind is still blown from seeing your video... It's pure 24K Gold!) 💪 So we will be there for a couple of nights as we'll actually be going on an Alaskan cruise out of Pier 91 (I believe it is?) As it will be a week. Up til now I have wanted to go back to San Diego as me and some friends did a two week road trip almost 6 years ago from Houston, TX (the area me and my wife are currently from) to Los Angeles, CA spanning 7 different cities. However, after seeing your in-depth ultimate video, Seattle may just overthrow SD as the #1 city to visit! 👀 Thanks for sharing this video as it's very much appreciated (from Houston, Texas) and I'm jealous you live there! 😲 PS. We'll be visiting Seattle on August 15-17th and then after that, the 17th will start our Alaska 7 day cruise! 🚢 😊 And will be using a GIG or Light Rail Link to travel around the city and my wife loves to drink... She fell in love with Unicorn's "drank" menu! 😂 BTW... Any advice on hotels around $150 or less a night? If not, no worries! 😊 John & Rebecca Alves ❤️

Great video with lots of variety! Volunteer Park has great views (though not sure the water tower is open), the new Nordic Museum is supposed to be wonderful (hope to check it out soon), the MOHAI, the boat locks/salmon ladder in Ballard. And if you're visiting without a car but want to get out to some trails, the "Trailhead Direct" is back this year (was closed last year due to COVID)... you can catch a bus from Capitol Hill, Mt. Baker, and a few other stops that takes you right to the trailheads at Mt. Si, Poo Poo Point, and others. And it's $2.75 each way! Rent some gear at REI if you need and head on up!
