I remember carpet in the bathroom being a thing back 8n the 70s when I was a kid. My parents bought our house in '78 that had carpet in the bathroom. They ripped it out as soon as we moved in. We thought it was weird even back then. 😅😅 🦋 🦋 🦋 🦋

Looks amazing!!! I would use liquid nails to replace the piece that keeps coming off. I would use wood and make a white frame the mirror with liquid nails. Done it looks cool!! 🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋

I never understood carpet in bathrooms either. Especially in mobile homes bathrooms. I'm glad our single wide mobile home bathroom never had carpet.

🦋 Looks great. It’s not only the 90s that wall to wall bathroom carpet was popular, it was the 60s, 70s, and 80s too. I got married in the 70s, and that carpet was all the rage. It wasn’t installed, you bought it large enough to fit your floor, cutting and fitting it around the sink, bathtub and toilet. But, it was washable so that part was good. Just pick it up and throw it in the washer. 😊

WOW! So nice Kelly, This is something I need to try before I replace my tub, it is about the same color yellow, but it is a normal size tube, we never use that one but if it turns out like yours did it will be great to have the tube back, mine has a few rust stains, they did coat it once but the idiot who did it did not know what he was doing. I paid a company to do this and have hated it ever since. Thanks for sharing!

🦋🦋🦋. Our 1996 Manufactured home has carpet in the bathroom. We bought brand new and some custom when we purchased it. I’m removing my tub because it has cracked. We are getting ready to renovate the primary bathroom. We have renovated the guest bathroom, kitchen, living and dining room, laundry room and plus the family room. 🦋 the tub turned out perfect, what a difference! Industrial Velcro would work great for the panel of your Moms tub. Would make it easy to get on and off and stay in place.

That looks amazing, you can see the difference. And as for the carpet who knows. Putting carpet in there is just asking for mold. When I was a kid, this house we lived in had pink shag carpet in the kitchen. It was so weird, but they definitely did things differently back then, though they did build things really good compared to now aways it seems.
