Small side note, Misa doesn't wear shoes when playing on stage. Of all of the groups that I've heard I like Band Maid the best. I always really get a kick out of people who start discovering this band. A LOT of smiling and happiness occurs.

Just to paint the picture of how crazy loved this band is. In London when they Performed "Glory" which was their latest track at the time, the crowd sang along through the whole song. At the time I think it was only couple months old, Also mostly Japanese & again in London. So yeah in couple months Their English speaking fans learned the lyrics to a song in a foreign language to sing with the band live

Thank you for sharing a bit of where you're coming from. Kel's journey in particular resonated with me, a lot. My youngest son (currently 31) has been exploring Asian popular music for some time now, starting with K-pop, and he mentioned a couple of Japanese bands including Band-Maid. I didn't follow up right away, but eventually did and BOOM they totally knocked me on my arse. Hardest rockin' band I had heard in a l-o-o-o-n-g time. Two years later, they're still my number One. Today it is September 20 of 2019. Between now and October 1, Band-Maid is playing four venues in the USA. I would love to see them in some of our major festivals like South By Southwest...

Here's what I have from various sites so far. Miku Kobato - 28 next month October 21, 1991 in Kumamoto, Japan Blood type A Saiki Atsumi - found two conflicting dates for birthday. She either is 25 or about to be. September 28, 1994 February 8, 1994 in Yamanashi, Japan Akane Hirose - So cool, Akane is Sagittarius like me. No year yet though. December 14 Kanami Tono - still looking for year. September 9 Mysterious Misa - got nothing on the Ninja. No birth date, no family name, nada. I have read that Miku is eldest, Saiki is youngest and the others are in between.

Band Maid is Amazing. I saw them Live in London last year. Unexpectedly a tiny venue but they killed it. Close to speakers so my left ear was shot less than half through the show I think but the hype of the music carried me so strong it didn't matter it was SO GOOD.

BAND-MAID is storming the world. Since they started doing their own music in 2015 BAND-MAID has gotten more recognition for their music. MISA and Kanami are graduates of Tokyo university of music and Akane has multi music background. If It hadn't been for Miku wanting to better herself we wouldn't have BAND-MAID today. I've been in a dark place for a long long time with many tragic things that have happened and are still happening in my life, but you guys have given me hope that things can be different. Your love for each other reminds me of me and my husband's love for each other. Thanks for doing Band Maid. Japan has an awesome music scene. I think you should possibly react to X-Japan ( the band that started it all) and BabyMetal (who are Japan's highest charting export) Road of Resistance Live in Japan. Also as a side note Hide with Spread Beaver were a ground breaking band their single Rocket Dive is a cool song. I know of this Long and Mcquade of which you speak.

I'd like to recommend my favorite Japanese band. They mix traditional Japanese instruments with rock it's a very beautiful and unique band. I recommend watching the official videos, they're awesome #wagakkiband Senbonzakura (千本桜) Their most famous song #wagakkiband Okinotayuu (オキノタユウ) Arguably their most beautiful song. There ARE other bands out there, and they're all good in their own right, but for me Band-Maid is the best rock band on the planet today. Something mystical happened when these 5 ladies came together as a unit, and it's still happening. You don't have to worry about copyright issues with the live footage of BAND-MAID - Its pirated to begin with, with the exception of REAL EXISTENCE (live). That one might get you a strike. I don't know which other Japanese bands anyone has suggested, but I suggest Aldious, LOVEBITES (both all female) and Unlucky Morpheus. There is a Japanese instrumental 4 piece band, who just got signed to Marshall Records, called D_Drive. If you like stuff like Joe Satriani, Steve Morse and Steve Vai, you'll like D_Drive. Sadly, they only have 1 produced music video - The Last Revenge. I'm not suggesting you do reactions to these bands, just steering you towards some of the better Japanese bands.
