Tip: If the farm unexcitingly breaks and you have tried everything. Remove the sand and replace the pistons and the red stone. it will reset the machine completely and it should work. Note: dont have villagers near by they can cause the blast furnaces to not function with the hoppers only (Only on Bedrock) Hope this helps.

Tip: if the kelp isnt growing and harvesting give the repeater 2 ticks (the one in the redstone clock) and it will work

If you are going to build it this way you only get half the XP. Use a normal furnace instead. Takes a little longer but it is much better on the exp gain.

Also if you are having trouble with chunk boarders go to Google and search slime chunk and that will give boarder cutoffs.

I just made this farm and it gives near enough no XP I collected 24 kelp from each smoker and I was lvl 3 and it got me to lvl 5 this sucks

Just built this. It works great. The level gain isn’t crazy fast, but it’s not terrible, and the free fuel is great too. It really is an AFK farm though; like plan on being afk near it for a good long while

I have built many variations of this machine, my favorite is pairing with a replacement of a furnace on the end to be switched to a composting box. Tons of fuel and tons of bone meal. Just have to adjust the hoppers to feed into each other and then an additional row of hoppers beneath feeding into the chests as normal, I created this due to having to shut the machine off bc of overflow from the chests and hoppers becoming full. Takes way more iron and wood but totally worth it.

Because when I grab an algae from each oven it does give me xp but when I come back grabbing algae it no longer gives me xp levels, and I have to let it cook for like 5 minutes

As far as I know, that's how it's supposed to be, you need to let it smelt items so that it can get and store xp and then when you collect the item, you'll get all the stored xp.

There’s a way around their patch you simply have to manually operate it , I sit here for an hour watching something on my phone turn off the kelp farm and once you’ve amassed a good amount of dried and normal kelp you have to just keep topping up the smokers with normal kelp and collect the xp and refill the smokers takes like 5 seconds then go back to whatever u we’re doing and keep coming back ,it’s the only way I find efficient xp wise I get like 2 levels every 10-15 mins and I’m high level , if you want to quickly amass fuel source (dried kelp blocks) turn the kelp farm back on and watch the dried kelp stack rapidly and refil the fuel when amassed. In other words this is now a semi afk xp farm but defo still able to utilise it and good fuel source for other things in game this is because they no longer stack xp through hoppers

The xp most definitely DOES stack in the furnace even if you have a hopper remove the material. In order to get the xp you must actually collect one item from the furnace. So you let the farm run 24/7 but when you want xp you flip the lever on each furnace then wait for atleast 1 dried kelp to accumulate then just grab the dried kelp from the furnace and you get 100% of the xp from all items that have been smelted.

It Is Not At All Good For Xp But Super Good Fuel farm And Bonemeal Farm If You Connect The Hopper To Composter And The Best Part Is That When You Use This Boneneal For Automatic Sugarcane Or Bamboo Farm You Can Get 2 Sugarcanes Or Bamboos Per Second Without Any Good Effort

The strangest thing has happened to me. I made this farm pre 1.21 Bedrock on a realm. It still works very well, but i decided to build it again on the same realm. For some reason it will NOT work no matter what I try. Making it bigger, smaller, but nothing works. I can go back to the original farm and still works every time (even if i forget about it and leave it on when i leave the surrounding chucks)

Just make sure to turn off the lever when you leave the game or go far away. This prevents the kelp from disappearing.

Just built only to learn it doesnt even work great :/ Edit: ok so i managed to get it to work apparently the tick speed for the pistons is too fast preventing the kelp from growing so if you click the repeater once its enough delay to make it work again so try that if youre having the same issue as me

Maybe try to let the farm run for longer periods of time before collecting the xp? This one seems a lil slower for xp than something like a mob/raid farm
