Kelsang Jampa leads a guided meditation at TEDxSarasota. An American Buddhist monk, Jampa travels extensively, giving the ancient wisdom of Buddha to people throughout the US and abroad, helping them to find happiness in their hearts. Part of TEDxSarasota's inaugural conference held on 12/12/12 with the theme "Creativity Matters" at the Historic Asolo Theatre in Sarasota, Florida.
ABOUT TEDx:In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

This was an amazing meditation. I have a panic disorder but I felt so at peace during this meditation. I did not have a single worry the entire time... longest I have ever gone without having an anxious thought.

Jon Kabat Zinn guided mindfulness, Mooji- Remain as you are, Jack Kornfield Big Sky Meditation, Metta meditations on Loving Kindness, wishing love for all beings, giving to all with healing light. Those are my favourite ones, but especially like things kept pretty simple mainly :)

Meditation was a godsend for about a month for me. Being much more in tune with my body, i noticed some things going on that I later learned were the result of wrongly dosed medication. Since correcting that, ive been astronomically better. I still try to meditate once a week, instead of daily.

You are the space between your thoughts. That is who you really are. Blessings and love to Kelsang Jampa. May we cease to react to our thoughts. May we free ourselves from our afflictions from illusion. May we drink on the nectar of emptiness. And may we all spread the love of true reality and enlightenment to all sentient beings.

Wonderfully simple and clear meditation. Even in a crowded place and with only a few minutes to ground and center, this unobtrusive but deeply moving meditation helps to reset and re-balance. What a gift to be able to impart such peace and guidance in such a short window of time. I play this for my patients on the Acupuncture table and it is our most requested guided meditation.

Mind seeks power to go in to the past, mind seeks power to go in to the future. But everything is changing at speed more than the speed of light. Where can we find this moment happening at such a speed. The amazing thing is that most who found it had told, that the experience they got was uniquely calm & silent.

I very much appreciate his tone and pace. I humbly suggest, though, should Jampa ever see these years down the road comments, that words like "resist" and "Immediately" tend to lead people to self-judgement rather than the calm of meditation - just my thoughts based on my personal experience

@TedX please remove the annoying ads from the middle of this meditation. It is perfectly fine to have ads at the beginning or end or the sections where the meditation is not taking place, we get that you need to make money. But having a bunch of loud ads in the middle of it when you are deep in meditation just ruins the whole thing.
