Everyone who EVER bought a "pistol brace" knew dang well they planned to use it as a stock. There is a sizable part of the "gun crowd" that loves taking advantage of "loopholes" and thumbing their nose at "the man." This time it bit them. I can't count the times I have seen a pistol "brace" used against the shoulder. I could be wrong but I don't believe any of the ammunition exceeds 3000 feet per second as he stated. I believe some of the fastest stuff is about 2200 feet per second. Out of a pistol with a 5 inch barrel I believe it ranges everywhere from 1500 to 2100.
@CraigsGunChannel4 жыл бұрын
You are correct that the ammunition commercially available peaks at around 2200 with most running at under 2000. There is a custom manufacturer loading by Elite (S4M) that pushes a 28 gr bullet to 3100 fps out of a 16 inch PS90 barrel.

These home defense guns are getting crazy and I like it...... and yes I'm calling it a home defense gun and because I cannot imagine what I would use that for other than that.

We need more companies to start making 5.7x28 ammo with more gun companies producing weapons to take that ammo, it's hard enough to find on a normal day and with the ammo shortage it's next to impossible
@CraigsGunChannel3 жыл бұрын
That is true, interest is increasing but the current ammogeddon makes it near impossible to find, and expensive when you do.

@@CraigsGunChannel ya it does, last time I found a box of 50 for sale it was going for $90 which is insane

Ok. This should actually work. However, how to successfully cool down the barrel and the receiver? Plus, why not arrage the barrel and receiver lower for less recoil like the rhino or the alien? Then one can always slide the magazine on the top facing downwards?

I have contacted Kel-tec and inquired about a brace. Hopefully they add one. This will replace my S2K as my saddlebag gun though.

Who else wants one of these registered as an SBR with a short can in front, a thin but strong carbon fiber side-folding shoulder stock in back, a hot-molded Kydex leg holster, and a green laser that automatically activates upon leaving the holster? Oh, yeah-- and another holster on the other leg to hold two spare 50-round magazines. Come on, who else?

unfortunately, right now it is very hard to get. I just did a quick search and it is still available from a variety of online sellers, but yikes, the price is not for the fainthearted. The cheapest was running $2.50 per round. If ammo prices on 5.7 don't come down soon I don't see Keltec selling a lot of these.

does the weapon balance not change drastically as you empty the magazine?
@CraigsGunChannel3 жыл бұрын
While I unfortunately have not been able to fire it yet, I imagine that would be a real issue. With essentially all of the magazine capacity forward of the grip it would bound to be noticeable.
