I've been using a MAP 3500 since 2014, and it is the pack that I always fall back to using over my other packs.

I have a hard time not going back to it myself.

I have one of the Amron versions in Desert Tan...Nutnfancy did a video on it years ago and that is what prompted me to buy it. The main thing I liked about it is what you do...its just a giant open compartment. Great video and thanks for making it.

Good review Paul. Clear and concise. It seems well padded in the right spots. Thanks for the share.

G'day Paul, haven't seen a review of this one before, thanks for showing it mate...........I like it. A nice balance of organisation and accessibility, similar in many ways to my Rush 12. Even though its discontinued, its still a great example of what to look for in a day/overnight bag IMO. Cheers Duke.

Love my Amron 3500, its been on 5 deployments and never failed. I looked into the newer Kelty only map 3500s and there's definitely a quality difference. Same goes for the raven and other ones. If you get lucky and find one of the older bags that isn't insanely priced, snag it up!

Yeah I've been on the look out for an Ocean Grey one.

@@adaptablesurvival Also agree with dren6406. Love my Kelty/Amron MAP 3500 which has served me well around the world over the years and still going strong. It had replaced my Camelbak (OG) BFM (in DCU colors, 1000D cordura) which in itself was an overbuilt beast. The MAP 3500 was(is) a nice balance of durability, weight, etc. I had to search out of curiosity after hearing the comment on used market pricing of MAP 3500s... insane.

Did you mention the weight of the pack?
@adaptablesurvival2 жыл бұрын
I didn't, as I don't dive into every spec. But is in the 2.5-3 lb range.

nice vid. I'd like it a whole lot better if you turned down the howling

I've reduced to a 4th of the regular sound level. My guess is YT does an audio balancing when I upload to match the rest of the video.

Why feature it if it's discontinued?
@adaptablesurvival2 жыл бұрын
Because I enjoy the pack and maybe someone would benefit from the info.

"Why feature it if it's discontinued?" It's a gear review video not an ad. I have a couple of those packs but have not pushed them. Always great to see how others use/abuse them.
