Ken Block: Absolutely Mental Onboard Footage From Overall Win at LSPR

Check out this wild go pro helmet cam footage from my win at Lake Superior Performance Rally. This episode features TWO of my favorite stages from this event, SS13: Herman and SS14 Mt. Marquette. SS13: "Herman" was the second running of this stage and I was able to cut 12 seconds off my first running from earlier in that day.

Yes! On-board footage is such a rad point of view, especially when it's properly captured like this. You can really get that sense of speed with the trees becoming more and more blurred the faster he goes. Sweet rally stages!

Was about to comment the same thing. It's tricky to overcome the inertia yanking your arms around, but you have to be conscious of it as soon as you expect a crash and do everything you can to tuck in. Maybe he did, and I'm not saying I could've done better ( I wasn't in the situation ), but still scary to see if you know the possibilities.

@@enigmaPL I personally think he should have had a window, net or something to tie his arms down, but I don't know if it was required or anything. 🤔 But yeah you need to react immediately and tuck your arms in. Since this can rip the arm off in the worst scenario.

If I am not mistaken I believe that they have limit straps on the fire suits now that help keep your arms inside the car

Laws. Racing has been totally banned in Switzerland since 1955. The Isle of Man is the only place allowing a motorcycle race like the TT.

125 mph is fast on pavement and we have guardrails around most of the racetracks. It just seems insane to me going 125 mph on dirt through the forest. Ken and Alex certainly have some brass balls.

group b is nothing compared to the speeds today. wrc1 today hit 140 on dirt regularly, especially in Finland. A standard Evo 9 on Pirelli rally tyres in the modern age is quicker through a stage than a 500hp group b, granted with a good driver.
