I'm pretty late. Just got off work. Vader was so tough that when he was in Japan, he was working a match with Stan The Man Hansen. Stan knocked Vader's eye out of the socket. Vader shoved his eyeball back in and finished the match. Nuts. I'd have f'n quit immediately. Dude was cut from a different cloth.

I know a lot of y'all on here already know all about that, but I figure there's bound to be some younger folks that didn't know about it. Vader was one of the greatest heels of all time.

Wrestlers were real men back in those days. Nowadays these wrestlers break a nail and they stop the whole match. Lol Sabu is also cut from the same cloth as Vader. We all know about the taped up bicep.

@@jjthapyro4130 Sure they were tough but it's not smart to abuse your body like that. You might luck out or become a shadow of your former self in seconds. If you have talent, you don't have to break yourself in half to entertain people.

@@miesvaillanykyisyytta3252 It's up to the wrestler. If he chooses to break his body in half... hey that's his choice as a performer. I guarantee Sabu has no regrets other than not signing with wwe. I was comparing the toughness as a man and not a performer though. Vader's eye pops out and he pops it back in and continues the match. Shows his strength mentally. I respect the old generation of wrestlers more than today's. They were just real men and not soft like men today.

@@jjthapyro4130 The point is that unless you're a highly trained doctor you have no idea what kind of damage you are doing to yourself by popping your eye or even shoulder back in yourself...you might luck out and have a nice story to tell or not. The men of today could do the same but the culture of bullying and recklessness is gone to some extent and people take better care of themselves and others. I do like watching the old stuff for entertainment and because of my age it feels nostalgic for me but I don't want to bring back the bad things about it.

Glad to see Butterbean smiling and looking good! He's a hero for bigger guys. Along with liddell & abbot. They proved that you can have decent conditioning regardless of your size. Excluding the fights they did as older men. Power, determination, and ruthlessness gave a new respect to bulkier thick bois. Is it muscle or fat? Doesn't matter too much when it feels like a sledge hammer smashed into you with hundreds of pounds of force behind it. Not to discount other body types. The skinny guys have had some great fighters bring welterweight and featherweight to the main stage as some of the biggest hearts you'll see in combat sports. (Yes this is a big guy paying respects to skinny guys)
