I left a comment on one his videos about how he wasn't even breathing between lyrics, and being in such close proximity to the mic would pick that sound up. I got a reply from one of his many, many sock accounts that said he had mastered the art of circular breathing, and had such amazing control over his voice that he could sing while inhaling. I pointed out that CB is a technique for woodwind and brass players, and got banned about a minute later. He's off his nut.

Great spot! This is kind of separate but related; as a woodwind player, Ken's breathing bothers me. He tends to close his mouth for aaaages at the end of a phrase and then needlessly snatch a really fast breath just before he starts to sing again. I know he's miming in these videos but you can hear the quick in-breath. Why do that when he has loads of time to just get a really good breath in?! I find it really frustrating as it's just not good practice, particularly as he's meant to be a singing teacher! 😤😫😆

Mime all you want. But when you charge people for a course on singing and the example you show is a straight up LIE? That's fraud, theft, deceit and criminal. At least show your REAL self. If someone was selling a course and said "I can't sing for shite and you won't be able to, either" at least he's not stealing your money. What a crook.

The real scam here is selling vocal lessons to people that will never be able to sing no matter how hard they try, he’s selling dreams to people, people that want nothing more in life but to sing but it’s out of their reach because they don’t have the ear or the voice to ever be a good singer. To be a part of a real vocal academy you must apply and then be chosen to attend the academy because you’re already a good singer. Not everyone has what it takes to be good singer, and to just sell his course to anyone that comes along is being very dishonest about what he’s actually selling. I just watched a video of a guy who purchased Ken’s course and he couldn’t understand why Ken’s course didn’t turn him into a good singer; and then the guy sang a couple of songs and it was quite apparent why Ken’s course didn’t help the guy, the guy just lacked the ability to sing on key because he didn’t have a good ear. Ken’s course only works for people who can already sing on key and they just need to learn proper practicing techniques and singing techniques, but if you’re incapable of singing on key there’s not one course or academy in the world that could turn you into a good singer, and to say otherwise is just being dishonest.

@@SongWhisperer people can train themsevles to sing on key. almost nobody is truly tonedeaf. less than 3% of the world's population are truly tonedeaf. anyone who can hear musical notes and atleast has some sense of relative pitch can learn to sing. source: i had terrible pitch and am now pretty darn good and i have taught people who have had god awful pitch ( as a hobby). i've seen people who went from not being able to tell 2 notes apart to recognizing every note down to the semitone and massively improve their pitch within a year.

I never liked vids that begged for subs and likes at the start of the vid. Barely at the end but at least by the end it doesn't seem needy and desperate. just my opinion. If people REALLY like your content, they will like/sub on their own but hey, do you, mon. 9:50 his finger lifts off and moves away but the note is still holding with vibrato. I mean, the whole thing is mimed and clearly, he CAN play guitar, he is DECENT okay, DECENT on guitar. He's clearly playing the notes (give or take) but he's not playing them LIVE. So.... that's my problem. He told people in so many words hey, let's sing and play live then he mimed it all - ALL of it. Not one note from his vocal cords or strings was live. If he had done it live, no way would it sound that good and he would be super straining on the vocals and missing a lot of notes on the solo. I seriously doubt he'll ever do a live video ever. Oh, besides running his mouth.

Ken had a very successful career in the Christian industry. I saw him sing and play live back in the 90’s but….even then he used backing vocal tracks. He is a really good player not sure why he didn’t just play. I’ve watched videos where he is clearly singing live, again not sure why he is miming these days.
