Nah. The greatest start to the roadtrip was getting well prepared for the tropical rains, if any, by having the wipers begin working immediately! 🤣 Although not realising the automatic plate number detection being used for the spring mall's parking system *as they drove into the parking lot* henceforth causing a mini traffic jam inside the lot, was a bit of a disaster 😂😂😂

Wow! When was this? I myself was in miri just a couple of weeks ago! Be extra careful driving along the under-construction pan borneo highway guys, especially around sarikei - balingian - kelawit. Try to avoid driving in the evening when it's dark and you won't have enough time to see the drops and the detour bends and maybe potholes too now that it rains quite a bit. Take your time and enjoy the various attractions along the way during daytime and get a good rest every evening. Be safe, enjoy, and have loads of fun! Oh, yeah you guys at the back are advised to wear the seat belts too!

suggestion, for bintulu-miri, take bintulu-bakun junction before take coastal road to miri. do not take pan-borneo (old road) to miri *4WD like toyota land cruiser would be better choice
@jonmath41822 жыл бұрын
Man! Don't exit at bakun towards the big roundabout. Continue straight on pan borneo (the partly ready version anyway) until niah. That's where you exit, turn left ahead, then another left about 8km further down,go on about another 8km where you will reach a junction with traffic light, that is where you finally join the coastal road and you take a right at that junction there where it will lead you to the small city of miri. But if it's daytime, just a short distance from the junction you should turn left where the signboard says pantai bungai (bungai beach), spend 15 minutes or so, then head back out and just a few km further down the coastal road, there's another signboard saying pantai tusan to your left. Drive in and spend another 15 minutes there too. It has the popular rock outcrop formation that looks like the bust of a horse drinking the sea water, which can be seen from an aeroplane. 40km further the coastal road you'll reach miri city centre, but you would have missed the annual borneo jazz festival at the marina

Been to Semenggoh Nature Reserve many times, although the last time it was very different, The big male I believe was Named Edwin. Jongs is also in its second home and was previously in a smaller location. Crocodile wise you need to be careful near any river or estuary. Kolo Mee Merah is the nicest for myself, but you have to be there early otherwise it finishes. Also been to Serian a few times. Have to be careful with the local dogs as I believe Rabies is still a problem in Sarawak at the moment.

Glad to know you noticed my comment, but am bummed out that you didn't get a chance to try out Siburan kolo mee. That's the thing with them. Some stalls will run out of kolo mee by noon due to the amount of people that order them. Serian also has a sort of waterfall, tourist area called Ranchan Recreational Park. A great place to have picnics and also a swim. Then after leaving Serian, before reaching Sri Aman, there's a small town called Lachau. It has a rest stop, and you can also visit the small shops there while you rest. They offer a variety of things ranging from local foods, to handmade crafts. Really do recommend you guys stop and check it out. Hope you guys enjoy the rest of the trip!

0:54 Who's the blonde lady, Ken? 😏 8:12 Technically Orang Utan is not monkey. They are in ape. Monkey have tail while ape don't have tail. Pause at 18:35, the white liquid in the ladle is probably corn or tapioca flour. It's for thickening the tomato soup which you can see later in the plate at 17:40.
