I'm sure that you have thought a lot about the house. Be sure since you are in a rain forest to put in drainage that is more than you think is necessary. Also if you haven't read Christian Alexanders book "A Timeless way of building" you should because it will help you think about all the issues. One thing that was wrong in my first house was that the front door was too close to the roof line to have a screen door to swing outwards. Also on your deck, you should think about whether you can roof it over, and perhaps screen it in for bugs, or window up to make an additional room later on. The key will be having a roof line that lets you add the additional roof later. Anyway I know you will have lots of fun building it out. With your bed on the top floor you may want a popup window in the roof so you can have a vent on hot days.

New follower from Max and Occy's channel one design i always loved from tiny homes was a boxed or semi boxed in mattress as then you have a spot to keep your phone up but lots of handy storage for right by your bed. Cannot wait to see how the build goes. Great to see max and oc having some regular company and happiness around xox

How exciting guys! It is so good having a homebase, we have recently purchased our homebase and loving it so much and getting some good rest in we actually haven't done camping trips haha, we have however been exploring on day trips around the area and landscaping the yard. I wonder what it would be like to have the shower on the other side with a window to that beautiful view :D

@@KendallandGlenn I’m from LA. I haven’t lived there since the late 70s, and at this point probably wouldn’t go back just because of the prices. I did love it there, and hated to leave. The song California dreaming can still almost make me cry. I have lived in many places with no decent Mexican food, but right now and probably for the rest of my life, I’m living near Brownsville Texas. Mexican food extraordinare.

Thanks for coming over! Yes the stairs will be through the bathroom. As it is only the bedroom up there noone else needs to access it so there's no point in having stair to impede the living area :)

Nigel goes ok on the highway. Obviously would be nice being lighter but still manages 80-90 on the highway without revving him too hard. Still a bit slow up hills but I'm not sure if that's because of the weight, or just the tiny engine hahaha
