Guys! So excited to hear you’re building a tiny home at Max and Occys! You might have seen I’ve been helping Max with a lot of the cabin Reno’s in particular the electrical, if you’d like any help with the build I’d be happy to offer my assistance 😊 (Im sure max would have a few things for me to do up there anyway 😂)

Am really looking forward to your next stage...should be really exciting. As an old bloke who has/is following a number of young folks as they travel around different parts of the world, I have noticed that the desire to settle/ set up a home base seems to occur around the 4/5 year mark, and I think that is quite understandable...most creatures need a nest. !! When I saw Nigel pop up on Max's video, I was curious about the sight, especially as I was aware of his ideas for the future possibilities for his property. I believe the area is an ideal choice for you. Good luck. Stay well.

Two , Forty Foot Hi-Cube refurbished shipping containers is a flying start to a Tiny Home . 40 foot x 16 foot rectangular structure . Just make some level Footings and lay them side by side butted hard togrther . Angle grinder makes Doors and Windows . Some cladding with insulation and you're away . Modular and easily extended . Just a suggestion .

Max wants a mobile, ie; on wheels home on his land. It's a temporary agreement.
@johncunningham48204 ай бұрын
@@mezanian. Seems to me , after a Re-Watch , they ARE talking about a Relocatable Home . A Framed Small House . Turns up on the back of a Truck and gets Placed on-site . And Container based dwellings are a Relocatable as it gets . Back a while I worked as a Container Truck Crane operator (sideloader) , so I know how it works .
@KendallandGlenn3 ай бұрын
We have definitely entertained the idea of container homes however to abide by council rules we need it to be movable so that it isn't classified as a home but rather a "caravan" haha
@johncunningham48203 ай бұрын
@@KendallandGlenn So how is a Relocatable Home any different ? Still turns up in Sections , on a Truck(s) , and gets Craned onto the Ground/Footings . A Multiple Container Home is COMPLETELY relocatable . Can be Permanent if you want , but absolutely doesn't HAVE to be . Sounds like Council , A : Lack of comprehension , Or , B : Council " fishing " for higher Fees . Likely the latter .
@KendallandGlenn3 ай бұрын
@@johncunningham4820 You and I both know there is no difference but unfortunately council makes a lot of hoops to jump through otherwise more fees will be in place. As soon as it isn't istantly relocatable, a lot of councils will require the land to be sub-divided which costs an arm and a leg. Very stupid but makes it easy if we keep it on wheels.

Hi guys, I just found you guys and love what you're doing and good luck on your next step in life! My wife and I are VERY interested in buying a LR series IIa 109 to convert into something similar to what you built. My only worry is the engine power to move everything I would add in the back. Can you please comment on how fast (or slow) your series 3 is with everything you have? Can you cruise comfortably cruise at 80km/h - 90km/h on the highway and what kind of gas mileage are you getting? Oh, and how is the noise level while driving? thank you so much! I think you're one of a few people who actually have real world experience living with a Series 3.
@KendallandGlenn3 ай бұрын
Hi mate! Thanks so much for following along. Honestly it isn't for everyone. After the engine rebuild and with all the extra load we are carrying we can go about 90km/h on the highway. We are still slow up hills. It is still very noisy (can't really converse comfortably). With our 55L fuel tank we can get about 250-300kms. We still love it so much but also understand that for a lot of people that sounds like a nightmare. hahaha. Best of luck with finding your adventure vehicle, whichever one it may be!
