I have 8' bulbs and will need help to take off the burnt bulb and then replace it with a new one since the bulb is so long.

I did this but now the light doesn’t come out instantaneously as it did with the old tube. For a fraction of a second the light is dim then lights normally. As if it had two gears. Turn on light dim light wait 0.1 sec then full light. Ballast is electronic no starter. Is this normal, do new tubes need break in? What could it be? Thank you
