Absolutely idolised Kendo as a kid. I’m a massive wrestling fan and have seen Kendo various times. Love the mystery of the mask but seeing the man behind it now in 2018 is fascinating. Thank you Peter and thank you for keeping Kayfabe for so many decades

Just finding all these old wrestlers that I grew up with and this video does nt disappoint. Comes across as a really good guy and tells a good story. I remember watching Kendo wrestle in Perth Scotland and whilst I can’t remember who he was wresting I do remember his opponent nearly getting his mask off. As an adult now I know it would never have happened but as a 12 year old I cannot tell you how exciting the prospect of seeing his face was. Around 75 or 76 as he removed the mask in 77.

I used to be in the RAF near Lincoln in the early 80’s, one night myself and a mate went out for a few drinks around Lincoln. Anyway we ended up in a pub called The Wheatsheaf, it was directly opposite the Corn Exchange, in the bar there were cartoon paintings of the Landlord wrestling. After a while a guy came in dressed in denim and sweating quite heavily from a shaved head. I though “I’m sure I know him”, turns out it was the great Alan Denison who had been wrestling over at the Corn Exchange. It turns out he was mates of the Landlord who was also a wrestler. As the evening went on a few more famous wrestlers came in, I can’t remember who they were as time has taken it’s toll on my memory. Myself and my mate ended up talking to them all and one thing became apparent, they were all really nice guys, as so does Peter (Kendo) in this series of videos!

So the mystery is revealed! The man behind the mask is revealed. Watched Kendo Nagasaki at Croydon lots of times and seen kendo in some marvelous matches. I witnessed Kendo unmasked when tagging with Rollerball Rocco to start the Kendo Rocco feud.

Definitely the best wrestler ever, beat everyone, and wore a mask, restricting his vision, as a child I was mystified by his appearance, and never saw him live, but I always wanted him to win, and stay masked 😁👍
