The "Blood Gun" being called "Club" in the files is a reference to an anime called Kite. In Kite: The Main carecter uses a pistol called the "Red Club" which fires explosive rounds, thus explaining why it causes much larger blood effects. Another thing due to the fact it uses its own special ammo and not just shotgun shells. I would like to argue that the Double barrel shotgun in Outbreak is actual an elephant gun of some form.

Are you going to start in the future offering any Merch or producing and firearms components ie; perhaps grips for and M-9/Fs9 beretta that have the S.T.A.R.S. logo? I’ve look quite a bit, and there are some actual quality replica examples, but they are very hard to come by

@@daltonbecker4494 Wow, you just absolutely blew my mind with the Blood Gun reference. I've always been curious why they chose that name and this seems like the definitive answer. Now I'm curious if it truly was just a dev's way of having fun, actually testing effects or was intended as a genuine unlockable, since that slot was replaced with the VP70 in the trial released later. As for the Double Barrel, there's no doubt it was intended to be an Elephant Gun and I still wish it kept that role for Wild Things instead of being replaced.

Its more than likely an elephant gun and if I had to guess id say its gonna be chambered in 500-700 Nitro Express. Rounds like that are NASTY. If you dong have experience with larger caliber guns your going to have a very bad time. Those rounds will buck hard core. Ive shot all the way up to 300 win mag and that was enough. Id rather stick with my 6.5 Creed or my .270 Winchester. Im a dead shot with one of them and they drop everyrhing I hunt

I remember that if you went out of bounds, you could find Ada's shotgun as Leon and some ammo cans that you don't ever see in the game. Whenever you equip Ada's shotgun, it just shows up as the first shotgun you find in the game.

@@MadMan3498 yeah honestly. The original gun seemed to make alot more sense. Hell Leon's handgun was originally going to be the Browning HP which would make more sense than the VP70 considering Raccoon City was a town in the middle of nowhere with a population of 100,000.

All I can think that is they had the opportunity to include the silver ghost as a unlockable for RE 2 remake, like maybe it would have been the infinite handgun, or even a dlc that includes it and Leon's RE4 outfit. It would only include ten rounds but would have the laser sight.

I love the "what could have been" kind of scenarios regarding cut content in games. Maybe in an alternate universe all these weapons made it to the final game. As a suggestion, maybe you could consider making a video on the series' sniper rifles. Things like Alfred Ashford's bolt-action rifle or the PSG1 in RE5 (my personal favorite). Anyway, awesome video as always. Looking forward to the next one.

Over/Under Double Barrels are, in general, an abysmally overlooked & underutilized firearms in video games & fictional media alike! Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, The Last of Us Part 2 (the Abby sections), & Metro: Exodus made quite clear how stylish, powerful, & practical said shotgun can be! Anyone just have an affinity to the over/under style & like seeing it in games??

Agreed. Over Under Shotguns are definitely criminally overlooked by their side by side counterparts in almost every way imaginable, especially when it comes to Sawed-Off variations. it's why we were shocked to see it was planned for RE7 and then not used at all. Payday 2's Joceline Shotgun was a great implementation of showcasing the beauty and craftsmanship O/U Shotguns tend to be designed with and having a group of criminals just hack away at the stock and barrel for possible attachments.

Yeah, Desert Eagles really are not practical in any way and can jam up very easily, the rocket launcher RPG 7 needs a fair distance before it will become armed in real life, and I'm not such how well an antique break action revolver with obvious corrosion would hold up shooting magnum ammo. However, I will gladly put any of the in Leon's hands with a big grin.

The spas 12 from re 2 being scrapped is because of dino crisis you can look up the spas 12 from there and the logo is the same. Even the progression at first the spas 12 in dino crisis comes in a base stripped down franchi PA3 that lacks a stock and modified barrel attachment. Once you find those 2 attachments or the barrel then it turns the PA3 into a spas 12 with the same ferocious recoil as seen with the Remington 1100. You can really feel the weight and power of the shotgun and the rate of fire increases with the stock attachment which lets you kill those tanks as fuck Dinos. Idk why it got scrapped maybe for budget or diversity purposes? It was probably too op and better balanced for higher HP enemies like Dinos? Also, the PA3 is Ada’s pump action shotty in separate ways, it only looks more rusted or of wooden finishing but interesting how they reuse some skins cleverly.

The missing shotgun from Resident Evil 5 appears to be a modified TOZ-194 with wooden furniture, I'm guessing the weapon was removed presumably because CAPCOM could not think of a way to give the TOZ-194 unique enough statistics to justify keeping it when the more well known and popular Ithaca 37 was already in the game at that point. Thankfully Resident Evil: Revelations 2 would later add in the TOZ-194-02 as one of the shotguns you could get, so the weapon finally got a chance to make an appearance in franchise.

A few other commenters have mentioned the TOZ-194 and while working on the video, we were originally going to mention it as well but there were enough visual differences in the design that we decided against naming a particular base shotgun.

It is difficult to make out the exact details of the weapon, but it does also share a resemblance to the Benelli M3 Super 90 Shorty, plus when you combine that with the wooden furniture, it looks like a throwback to it's appearance in RE3. Much like how the Desert Eagle in RE5 is designed to resemble it's RE2 incarnation. But again, there is enough changes in the model shown that makes it difficult to accurately identify the gun used. There's a chance the weapon was a hybrid of the two because the ejection port, pistol grip and maybe the pump handle resembles the TOZ-194 more than the Benelli M3. Plus when you consider the stage of development at that time, CAPCOM was mostly relying on hybrid designs for their weapons until they were allowed to use real world weapons later in development! It's just a shame that these trailers are the only evidence of the existence of these weapons, it would have been interesting to find the old models in the files, much like how you could find older weapon models in RE6!

I love this channel so much, you guys really work hard on these videos. However not to be a downer, but there are only so many RE guns. When that list gets low, I suggest not being afraid to look into the guns of other series. While not very lore heavy about its guns, Hunt Showdown has some very interesting pieces.

Maybe you should apply as the voice actor for Leon in the upcoming RE4 remake. Nick did a fantastic job in RE2 remake but Paul Mercier as Leon in the original RE4 is the definitive version to many people. I wonder why Capcom changed the cast but yours is the closest we can have.

I own 3 model 1100’s and they are wonderful, fantastic, just all around great shotguns. I love them, though I believe the recoil is exaggerated to a large degree. The power doesn’t come from the gun, but the ammunition it uses and I’ve got some powerful ammo and they do not kick that hard. They kick but not that much. Lol still a phenomenal gun all the way around though. Hands down.

The hunting gun would likely be chambered in 500 NE or 700NE. You can find both calibers in a single or double barrel format, and both guns are used to hunt elephants.

This is for the Special Hunting Shotgun. I think when Capcom was making that shotgun in the game, I think they were trying to go for something very similar like one of those Double Barrel Hunting Rifle that shoot .600 Nitro Express rounds. That’s my guess. If that shotgun made it into the final game, it could’ve been easily the most powerful weapon in the game right up against the Model 500 Magnum.
