I love Kendrick but yall gotta relax, yes Kendrick is a dope MC but he has yet to be battle tested. Kendrick is the pump fake king he will put a verse out there like "Family Ties" or "Control" calling rappers out for competition and then disappear. He called out half of the mainstream rap game, and ducked all of the spitters that responded. As much as people put Kendrick on the pedestal as some big bad wolf he gotta show me cause its been a whole lot of bark and no bite. At least with Drake he has been battle tested.

The thing is MJ album cycles/eras used to last 2-3 years with 6-7 singles and a music video for each AND a world tour. MJ was THE ultimate PERFORMER and mega superstar while Prince tho a superstar on Its own right and a great live performer was more respected by actual musicians and a lot music heads bc of his musicianship and artistry. The sample is from 1980s rappers from California in the Bay Area called Rodney O and Joe Cooley the song is called “Everlasting Bass” and the other sample is from Eazy E song called “Eazy Duz It”. The J.Cole diss is from him saying he got a stick but not Andre 3K J.Cole has a song called “Stick” and J.Cole on the song “First Person Shooter” said Kendrick, Drake and J.Cole are the Big 3. Kendrick basically saying F the Big 3 to Cole because he doesn’t like Drake they have a beef for like 12yrs now. It stemmed from when Drake and Kendrick were cool but Drake decided to take Kendrick off a that turned out to be a hit when he originally said he was going to be on the song and he had a verse on the song but he took Kendrick verse off completely and lied to Kendrick saying he didn’t remember saying he was putting him on the song. So ever since then Kendrick has had a distain towards Drake. Because he doesn’t stand on his word he’s a snake in the industry. Now J.Cole recently been collaborating with Drake a person Kendrick doesn’t like because he’s a backstabber. So that’s why Kendrick said he feels paranoid because now my friend(Cole) is clicking up with the opposition trying to be a team. Kendrick Lamar grew in the hood he’s from Compton completely gang infested and Kendrick is a part of the Pirus a gang in Compton. He’s from the ERA where OGs seen a talent kid and kept them out the streets and purposely instructed for that kid to be protected and not to be involved in gang activity only stuff towards his talent. Kendrick use to go from hood to hood battle rapping every hood’s best rappers for money. He never lost a rap battle but since it was getting too dangerous his gang introduced and encouraged him to go to the booth. Because people were getting tired of him winning and probably wanted to shoot him. Because they’re losing money every single time they challenged him but Kendrick didn’t care he said he just loved that environment. Kendrick hated the booth he said the street battle rap was where he was in his element. We all know he can rap in the booth but he was comfortable in that street battle rapping environment it brought that lyrical beast out. So J Cole has been saying a lot recently that he’s the greatest rapper and he feels like it’s no competition out here. He said nobody rapping for real out here everybody trash. So Kendrick is challenging him to that rap championship belt he acts like has. Because like I said J Cole has been saying in songs he’s the greatest rapper of this generation.

No. Kendrick and Drake has been rhrowing shots for a decade. The Kendrick and Cole beef is only a few years old.
