This has to be one of Kendrick's most powerful songs. He was tryna find himself, better himself. Reading Napoleon Hill, finding God, cutting off external negative influences. Aiming for the top and surrounding himself with like minded people, welcoming ideas to get him to be a be a star...and look at him now. He spoke it into existence. Tunage

Kendrick was one of the first rappers I discovered on my own in middle school. Now I'm a month away from graduating from university and he just dropped Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers, crazy to see where he's at now. I feel like I've grown up with him
@jessierae80792 жыл бұрын
It's beautiful to see him rising, and be more powerful. When I heard his first sound when he was underrated I was like whoa! This one is so special, I talked about him almost every day(during 2 weeks) to my mom, my sister, my friends. And look at him now, I am proud of him because he never changed. Sometimes when I discover new artist when they become famous their music change it's more mainstream or bullshit. Kendrick still have his creativity and take his time to deliver.

Same same, I discovered Kendrick during school days, when swimming pool just came out. Now ima bout to graduate as well, and just ordered a ticket to the big stepper tour in October, it's literally childhood dream come true. Kendrick literally never disappoints.

the main reason why people live a miserable lives is simply because they value opinions way too much. idk if that has to do anything with this awesome song but as I went into deep thought about that idea, I remembered about this song. The moment you live for the opinions of someone else, you die, because they authentic you is just not there. if you're different stay different, no matter how hard it gets, don't change for anybody.

In this song I believe he's trying to say he needs to be in the right crowd, because others are giving him negative energy and he shouldn't feed off of that. "I'm trying to learn something new" obviously means he's developed over negativity and wants to change that by hanging with the right people, which would lead him to success. It definitely worked. Clever work by Kendrick Lamar!

Sending Love! Everyone’s idea of success and happiness are all different. People are gonna be endorsing their own version of happiness. And Yes having a partner, getting married, having kids, working have lots of money, retiring, going places experiencing the world. Would be a good life. But there’s still jobs that need to be done by ppl, no it may not pay great. But ppl rely on these services eg farming, community services, care takers of other people in need, or retailers, servers. Without them who’s gonna pick the fruits/vegetables for that gourmet meal you ordered and just expect it to be served to you just coz you’ve got the money to pay. Everyone trying to make it big, but no one is willing to do the jobs that are actually needed. So yeah they may be paid and got kids, but they do nothing for the community but expect shit done and blame governments for not providing. Our values are misguided, there are very few GREAT ppl out there. Most are selfish ordinary, some just good enough. Ppl will judge you for being broke. I judge them for not being a better person. Covid should’ve taught us lots about us as ppl. If you didn’t have to work, well you not essential person. if you were at home bored doing nothing but exercising, passing time, complaining about how fat you got, not being able to enjoy life. Check yourself. “Paid” ppl just want/need to be entertained, and the wold is nice so it will provide that. When the world is closed, they complain coz you can’t go out and spend your money. Stay home with your money and wait for your food to be delivered. Half y’all jobs are not needed, entertainers, selling non essential items, advertising, marketing. Get a better job seriously 😒 make a difference, even if it’s only to lives of a few ppl. Be part of the solution..

And man my first listen was refreshing and couldn’t believe I missed out. But it’s timeless and every track resembled perfectly at my life. Especially this song. Nonetheless I discovered a little late but have been hip to him since. A living legend.
