K-Dot has this one in the bag. Family Matters was one of Drake's best songs in a while, but even then, Kendrick has just been killing it with the diss tracks. This was more of a battle between most popular vs. actual best rapper around. This was great to experience, though. Love the Pokémon reference, btw.

The one thing that everyone gets wrong about this beef is the fact that Kendrick didn’t make a personal first. Drake did. He brought up Whitney sleeping with bodyguards (I think on push-ups) This is a classic move by Drake. He always brings up somebody’s spouse on a diss record and when they retaliate in kind, he uses that to gaslight his fanbase by saying “they made it personal first“
