Ok, this is brilliant. I just decided to install the Deepmind app to really start using the Deepmind. But I could not understand the Preset Manager, and I found this when googling. This is by far the best explanation I have found. So thank you! And then I find your patch banks, so now I will have to buy them. And look through your other Deepmind videos. I guess my next song will have to wait a while (Yes, I am a procrastination expert)...Thank you for this amazing work with the patches!

Just got the patches for each of the three synths Jorb created for emulation and am glad I did. Plenty of great tones to use and build off of. I am using a Mac running Ventura and just dragging and dropping them following Jorb's directions was a breeze.

Cheers for this guide, I was a bit confused with it and didn't want to mess my banks up. It seems presets on the internet are way better than the presets that come with the synth. How Behringer signed off all the awful presets washed with FX that come with the synth I do not know.

@jorb thanks for making this vid. Just bought your patches. Can't get them to load into the synth. I'm mac OSX Ventura (someone below said worked fine) and just did firmware update to synth and didn't help. Anyone else reporting issues? Here's what I did: -Dropped in the patch file to the deepmind app -The new patch bank appears in left and right bank columns -If I copy the Jorb presets bank into the bank of the same name on the right it loads super fast like its not actually loading data. Presets appear in bank column but not on deepmind. -All the Jorb preset names from the bank show up in the preset column below the bank on both the left and the right hand side, but none of them show up on the deepmind itself so looks like nothing transfered -If I transfer the presets to a factory bank like Bank H it takes some time to load like they are actually copying over (appx 30-40 seconds) but then when I click on Bank H it is empty of presets in the deepmind app and they are not loaded on synth even if I scroll up and down in preset browser banks -In the app none of factory banks do NOT show any of the factory presets which seems odd like its not actually connecting to the synth or the factory presets are not there even though they are on the synth and I can select through them -I powered on / off, did a firmware update, update went smoothly and computer is talking to deepmind and deepmind did complete update and this did not fix the issue -I'm on OSX Ventura 13.1 hoping this is not the issue and would be surprised that firmware update works but preset loading does not Any help or input if other people having this issue appreciated.

Jorb. I dig saying your name and your style. Nice work! Love my Deepmind12. I do wish onboard patch exploring and management was given as much thought as the rest, but their app works. btw, no crashing here (PC, Win10 latest) so something must be going on with system.

For the inevitable Mac people looking to find the place where the Deepmind editor app stores banks on Macintosh computers, you can get there in the Mac Finder desktop most easily. Library folders are hidden on Mac by default, so press Command+Shift+G (aka "Go to Folder...") and copy and paste this location into the dialog box that pops up... ~/Library/PHAT12/banks

Not sure if something changed in app or there's a difference Mac OS versions, but I'm running Big Sur and even though my banks are definitely being saved somewhere (when I close and open the editor my saved banks are still there to select), but I don't have a 'PHAT12' folder anywhere. Have tried in HD library and user Library, with hidden files shown, tried using spotlight searching for 'PHAT12' and for my bank names specifically.

I'm on MacOS Big Sur (11.6.7) and I found the PHAT12/banks folder here: /Users/[username]/Library/Containers/DeepMind12/Data/Library/PHAT12/banks Note, you may see this folder as the following (like if looking for this folder using the Terminal Prompt): /Users/[username]/Library/Containers/com.music-group.deepmind12/Data/Library/PHAT12/banks Finder appears to replace the com.music-group.deepmind12 part with DeepMind12. The new location is because the DeepMind 12 app is running in a sandbox. Sandboxed apps don't store their files in Library directly, but instead store them in an isolated container which is basically a linked copy of the User's Library folder. This prevents the sandboxed app from accessing files anywhere else on your disk and keeps it operating only within the container. I found it by using a file search feature in Path Finder (a Finder replacement). You won't see PHAT12 using Spotlight or other normal Apple find methods.

hey guys, i have a question - i am trying to save the factory preset patches so i can mess around and overwrite them. it all works fine, but when i try to copy from left to right or vice versa on the app, at first it will say the new patch name on the app, but as soon as i actually go to it on the synth, it goes back to what it was before. so i have no way of actually changing the synth patches via the app, because everytime i go back to that patch on the synth its just the old one and then the name changes back in the app aswell. has anyone else experienced this? do you have a solution?

Link is in the description, you need to filter or search down to the deepmind, and then download that app v1.05 for windows or mac, whichever.

I just got a DM12 and I'm going to test your programming. Thanks to the friend for creating these patches for us from these synths that we dreamed of having. One thing I noticed: 1) is bank A sounds that are already in other banks? 2) we have by default up to bank H, and we can restore them to the original through the GLOBAL menu, right? 3) can't we create a bank I, J, K ie a new bank in memory to put your presets without "losing" the original sounds? thanks again for your work and effort to create these amazing patches!

Hi Jorb. Greetings from Scotland. I am desperate to get your 106 patches as I owned one in 1984! Sadly I can't get any new patches to transfer over to my DN12! When I use the app everything looks fine.I have followed all the steps but they don't appear on the synth its self. Are you or any of your followers aware of what could be causing this issue. Is there settings on the DM12 that I need to set or change? Pease help! Many thanks

Hi Jorb. I did exactly the same things as you but my DM12 couldn't load any patches. Is there something I am missing about the connectivity setings? My DM sends sysex data but doesn't take any. Neither Editor app nor Midi OX worked for me. BTW, my DM is the fisrt version without any OS update.

Anyone know how to upload samples to deepmind using Macbook Air M1 Montery? I can move them to the one side but they never "stick" and as soon as I rotate through patches it goes back to the default? I can't find the PHAT32 fold either after trying multiple ways...

I’m having problems importing these presets through Mac, and it seems like every tutorial is using Windows… I really don’t know what I’m doing wrong, but although my DeepMind 12 is connected through USB to my Mac, and it’s showing on the DeepMind app, the Jorb preset banks are not showing on the DeepMind itself. hey jorb, today i came across a guitar effect pedal fx40 soft focus and wanted to get similar effect in fl studio with plugins im kind of a beginner and came across a site patchstorage where i believe someone replicate soft focus effect but the patch is in bin file & supports platform “zoia/euroburo” which i believe is a synthesizer so can u please tell me if i can use this effect on fl studio or any other app thanks

I can't find any info about this but does the Deepmind 12 need to be on firmware v1.1.2 in order to receive patches? mine is currently on v1.0.5 and I haven't dared to update it in fear of something screwing up as I've seen forums about updating causing the DCOs to detune even with calibrations, making the sound scratchy and different to how it used to be, and other things so I'm really hesitant on proceeding. I tried to move around my patches in a bank outside of the synth and sent it over, and even though it shows the progress bar indicating it's doing its thing, the screen on the dm doesn't say "receiving sysex", so I don't know if the editor is to blame, or if I changed some global setting on the synth that's causing it to ignore, or if it's a firmware thing.

Hey Jorb, thanks for this. I seem to have an issue with restoring the factory patches when I reset the DM12D. I foolishly loaded a few patches (not yours, yet!) and they overwrote the first 12 in Bank H, when I did a factory reset, the default patches didn't re-appear, the ones I loaded are still there. Is there any way I can get those back?

I'm haven't used it in a really long time, but either the factory banks are in there when you load the desktop manager, or they can be downloaded from behringer

Thnx. I've changed banks before, but forgot how (and not sure I did it this way a -- successful bank change usually seemed to occur by accident). You're obviously very talented. How about an original bank of MUSICALLY USEABLE stuff for the DM? Yep, I know, I'm an old relic and desire sound to be musical as opposed to unorganized chaos. Could be a moneymaker, if you're interested in such.

The hardware only has a certain number of banks, so yes, to move one on to the hardware instead, you'll need to replace an existing bank

For Mac Users on newer macs. I'm on MacOS Monterey and the saved banks showed up here: ~/Library/Containers/DeepMind12/Data/Documents/ I saved my F Bank first and that's where I found the file. I dropped Jorb's bank .syx files there and restarted my program and they were in there! Then you just have to select Juno bank on left and select F Bank (or whatever you want to override) on the right and click "Copy to Right" to get them on the deepmind 12 synth

The app was certainly not their focus. Even still, it has the issue of pitch bend on every patch getting set to + and -22. Massive pain

Hi Jorb, I really appreciate this I love the sounds. I'm having some trouble getting the patches across however. I'm following all the steps but my D12 doesn't seem to be receiving the sysex. They show up in the correct bank in the editor but when I got to the bank on the D12 itself theyre not there and the bank resets to the original in the editor. Would really appreciate any help you can provide on this

It's crazy complicated for me. My DM only has Export in the menu, but Import does not know. God, why can't it be as easy as transferring data from an SD card? I watched the video halfway and I have my head like an airship

Once I drag the SYSX file over, on the left side i click the "jorb jx3p" file and on the right side I click on "synth bank C" I then press "copy to right" but I noticed that on your DEEPMIND 12 screen under "PROGRAM BROWSE" , it says "please wait, receiving system" but once I press "copy to right" on mine, that text doesn't pop up. Do we absolutely have to be on the "PROGRAM BROWSE" setting on our DM12? Sorry for the inability to easily explain whats going on. I'm new to synths.
