*********** TO PAIR THE REMOTE *************** note: this is for the remote shown in the video. If you have a different model, this might not apply. 1. Turn the power off to the fan for 5 minutes. For me it was connected to a light switch, so I turned that off for 5 minutes. 2. While waiting, remove the battery cover and find the "Learn" or "Pair" button. Also find the very tiny switch labeled 0 or 1. 3. If the switch is set to 0, flip it to 1. You'll need something small to get in there to flip it. I used a very tiny screwdriver. 4. After five minutes, turn power to the fan back on. 5. Press the "Learn" button on the remote. 6. The light on the fan should flash and the fan will turn on. It is now paired! ONLY USE THE REMOTE TO POWER THE FAN ON AND OFF. Do not use the light switch. If you use the light switch, you may have to pair the remote again. This worked for me, hopefully it helps you.

You can swap the LED out with a silverlite 4" led retro fit. I just installed this fan and ordered the led assembly from Amazon ($19). The 3000k led it includes is hideous... ordered 5000k to match the daylight bulbs throughout the house. Love, love, love this fan and the crazy air output it has. Couldn't beat the price either! What "button in the back???" Mine has no button in the back - only a tiny switch inside the battery compartment that says "DIM" or "ON" and you can either turn it to one or the other. Is that what you meant? I don't know what that would have to do with "pairing," though.

Maybe you were trying to alternate between using both the remote and the wall switch - you have to use only the remote. Somebody on here said that ruins the "pairing" and it has to be "re-paired." For me, it ruined the entire remote function and I had to replace the fans.

Since your ceiling is higher than mine (8.0 feet), can I install it without using the down tube? Also, can I setup so the wall switch turn on & off, in case the dog or my kids decided to to return it back?

This large fan performs better with a longer down rod. Shortening the down rod (or eliminatingnit) would hinder its ability to grab surrounding air to push down.

Does the fan with a remote work as well with a switch?
@carolinej36612 жыл бұрын
Based on my experience, I would never (again) use the wall switch with a remote fan. There seems to be something in the internals of the fan's remote receiver that gets all messed up when you try to alternate between using the switch and using the remote - and, once it's messed up, there's no way I know to get it right again. Maybe if you plan to use ONLY the wall switch every time, and never use the remote, then it would be ok - but you lose all the adjustability that way.

@@andrewesquivel Thank you for responding! We installed 5 smaller fans (same model and brand... just smaller) and none of them make the thunk sound. Only the 72" one makes the thunk. @dubTuube5 жыл бұрын
Hey man. About to guy buy this based on your answer - Can this be setup in a way that the wall switch controls only the light (on/off), then the remote can be used to turn on/off the fan? The room has no overhead light so primarily, I need light first. Also, is there a way of wall-mounting the remote?
@andrewesquivel5 жыл бұрын
as far as i know, this fan must be operated solely by its remote. I did not see any info when I set it up for an option to use a switch to control it. As for wall mounting the remote, you might need to get creative as I do not recall seeing any hardware available to specifically mount this remote to the wall.
@dubTuube5 жыл бұрын
andrewesquivel thanks for the quick reply. I can deal with their being no mount but if you leave the light on the fan and flip the wall switch off, then when you come back in the room, the wall switch will turn back on the light, right? Or are you saying that when you walk into a dark room, the only way of turning it on is with the remote?
@andrewesquivel5 жыл бұрын
@@dubTuube sorry I didn't see this question sooner. As far as I know, if you turn the switch on the wall off you will end up unpairing the remote from the fan. The only way to turn on the fan and/ or the light is via the remote. You will then need to re-pair the remotes after you turn the switch back on if it is off for too long.

Right on brother. Thank you
