Removed the beaver dam next to the road. This dam here never was so high as this time. The flood was all around. Interesting how the draining system working around ? Is it already eroded or still working ?

I admire the efforts you spend on opening the dams. Lithuania seems blessed with abundant rainfall, farmland crisscrossed with drainage canals which must be cleared for agriculture, and a resurgence of beaver populations necessitating periodic maintenance. I find the sounds of running water very soothing, also. This kind of content is pleasant to view. and Thanks for reading.

To answer your question as to why I watch your videos: 1. The mechanics of dismantling 2. The sound of the rushing water 3. The collapse (of course) 4: The scenery of your location (which is very beautiful) 5. Drone footage with ethereal music being played 6. I think you’re a very good person 7. 12 Good reasons to watch your channel 1. You are an admirable character - very good at your job. 2. You make films which are technically very good - the colour, setting and sounds of nature all professionally done. 3. Unlike many professional media people - you do not block the views we are trying to look at, you modestly get on with the work. 4. You have a sympathy with nature, the countryside and indeed the beavers and keep a good balance. 5. Local people benefit from your hard work. 6. You have introduced your country to people around the world in such a good way. 7. The films are educational in the best sense - we learn so much. 8. The sound of running water, the bird song, the breezes in the trees, reed and grasses are treasured soundscape. 9. Over the years you document the seasonal changes - it is beautiful to be reminded of them in such a poetic way. 10. It is always good to watch other people working hard - especially when watching for a comfy chair!! 11. Yes the dam busting is fun and we love your athletic leaps just in time! 12. In England we would call you a 'national treasure'.

I find your videos both relaxing and exciting at the same time. Exciting because of the collapses. I have always enjoyed watching people untwist a knotted mess, and that is what a beaver dam is when you get down to it. The chipping away and untangling is something I've always found relaxing. The reason I got attached to your channel specifically is your personality is so much fun. I also love that you include little weather reports from your location. As someone with a lifelong fascination with all the countries of the world, learning about the people, some of the daily life, and the weather/climate of your section of the world fulfills my need to be both nosy and learning something new all the time. 🎂Happy 1st birthday wishes to Roberta! 🎂

I watch for three main reasons. 1) I enjoy watching you take apart the dams, with or without a collapse. 2) I also enjoy the drone flights at the end of your videos because they give me a look at the country and I do not know what that part of Lithuania looks like. 3) I enjoy listening to your progress with English. I teach English to immigrant high school students and enjoy seeing people make progress in any language, especially one as difficult as English.

Hello Mantas. Yes the beavers do not use old sticks from the pile. It is because they can not reach or pull. They use the sticks from the water. Wood floats. It is not so heavy. The beavers have more power to pull in the water. The sticks are structure for the dam. The mud strengthens the structure and prevents the water from flowing. In Ontario, Canada. We burn the sticks in the winter with a control fire pit burn. Plus the fire keeps use dry and warm. Where we can not burn we use a Chipper shredder machine to eliminate the dead stick pile. Each country and location is different. The dry sticks become a fire hazard in the summer heat. The beavers require the water to move around quickly. They are not as mobile on land. You are doing a wonderful job taking care of the water systems. Keep up the great videos. I really enjoy them.

I was going to suggest a 55 gal vertical burn barrel, which we used to clear and maintain farmland. Once a fire is established in the base, the vertical burn will dry wet and green wood before it is consumed to maintain the fire. The barrel contains the fire for safety.

I am in Canada, a senior citizen now and have removed hundreds maybe into the thousands of beaver dams over the years. Over the years most dams removed by dismantling by hand and a spade nosed shovel. I removed because of flooding like you and also for years I supplied minnows to fishing stores and would need to keep beaver pond levels low to catch the minnows. I think Canada has more beavers then any other country !!

You asked me: Why do I like to watch your videos? Many reasons. 1. Nature: I enjoy water, trees, farms, wild woods, camping, fires, mountain trail exploration, and where nature intersects human activity such as urban exploration and abandoned places, etc. 2. Fascination with your work: Style of removal of dams using only a rake (no technology or messy loud explosives). 3. Relaxing to watch ambient videos with very little dialogue/speaking: I can think to myself as I watch and not be distracted by being told what to think or believe. :>

Good work. ❤🇨🇦 I love watching you work. I love the ASMR sounds. I’m fascinated with how you dismantle the dams. I grew up around creeks as a child so daming them up and un-daming was also fun. I’m fascinated with how beavers can help with watersheds and prevent floods but also the damages they can do. They are protected here as the national symbol next to the maple leaf. I’ve seen how they can prevent drought conditions in some places so they have usefulness.

Also, I've never been this close to a beaver dam. We have them near where I live but I only remember going to see the dens as a child. Getting to see your part of the world with the drone is great! Such a beautiful area! I had fun going along on your mushroom hunt in the rain too! You'll have to take us again maybe when the weather is more favorable (no lightning) and you can show us how you prepare them too. Thank you for sharing a little part of your life with us. I started watching Post10 in USA a good few years ago(I am in the UK)...His first video came up in my recommendations one day and I have watched him ever since. One of your videos showed up in my recommendations and I have watched you ever since. I find that it is both totally absorbing and relaxing to watch you working outside in all weathers...this is something I can no longer do due to health problems...I have also enjoyed learning about the beavers ability to construct the dams. It's been really great to watch how you have used different techniques to dismantle the dams especially the later ones where you have worked on weakening the dams until the collapse in on themselves. Awesome work Kenislovas and Thank You for all your hard work in bringing the videos to us!😀

At this point the beavers know your name, they will continue coming back building bigger and better dams for you to dismantle meanwhile building another dam elsewhere…you have a lot of work to do. Keep up the good work!!

I enjoy your process of undoing what the beavers built! Watching the water flowing and hearing the sound is very relaxing for me, will I set in my recliner 😂. I love getting to see your beautiful country from the view of your drone! I've been watching your videos for a couple years and I find you to be a very nice man with a beautiful family. I'm a 73 year old man, I have one child and she has given me three wonderful grandchildren. The oldest is 21 year old girl, next is my oldest grandson and he 19, my youngest grandson is 9 years old. They all are my life. I'm very thankful to have them in my life. I also like that you're a husband, Daddy and you seem to be enjoying life. Thank you Mantus for sharing your videos with all of us! Take care and I'll catch you on your next video! 👍🙏❤️🇺🇲

I just love watching your videos as it is incredibly satisfying. Seeing how methodical you are, watching as the dam collapses, then the end result of all the water pouring downstream. You do such a brilliant job and I really appreciate your work and the time you spending videoing and editing your dam removals. Many thanks!

When we were young we often played in the sand or soil making dams. Sometimes small ones and sometimes bigger, on the beach for example. We then loved to break the dam and watch the water pour through. Removing beaver dams is the adult version and this is why we like to watch your videos. Or maybe was just me 😂

It is really a good question, "why I watch your videos?". Probably because I imagine myself as a kid, playing with water streams, to try controlling them. It is not particularly collapses or watching someone working. It's all together - a childhood dream, and a pleasure of watching someone really enjoying his job and being passionate about it. I would enjoy watching different ways of removing. Hopefully, some day you will have a machinery for this.

You're right, beavers won't reuse the trees limbs/branches that you remove. They consider the logs defective because their dam broke..., only out desperation will they reuse them. There are some cage traps used for relocation of beavers to where they can benefit the area. Some hunters can catches beavers for food... I like seeing since you're providing a service for the farmer's fields.... keep on doing this.😎

I watch your videos because it's nice to see a job well done. You work very hard and make sure the canal is clear. The farmers need those channels open to protect the fields so it's gratifying to see you helping them. It's relaxing. The sound of the water and how it looks as it cascades over the dam is very calming. It's also kind of fun to guess which part you'll do next and to see how it comes apart. The collapse is fun and it's neat how you plan it out. The different camera angles make it more interesting to see the different views. Lastly, I am Lithuanian on my Dad's side. He was born here (US) and I never knew my grandparents so sadly I know very little about the old country. He's been gone for many years as well. No family stories on that side so it's nice to see the country and hear you speak. I wish I'd been born sooner to learn more of my family's history. Tell your friends that the internet is full of stupid, selfish, self-centered people doing outrageous things to get attention. You are a kind, generous, hard-working young man who is doing a service for his friends and neighbors and that is immensely appealing. Bless you and your lovely family.

Watching your efforts makes me nostalgic for the storms when I was a kid, making my own little rivers and dams. The fun of dismantling it and watching the release of the water is exhilarating, even now. The biggest reason, for your channel in particular, you have a Method to how you go about it. That sets you apart from most of the folks I see who are removing dams or clearing drains. I can tell, based on your experience, you know the steps and can recognize the signs as you are working. Just like watching @DrainAddict down in Australia, I get the feeling that you are a master at what you do.

I watch for many of the same reasons as others mentioned. It's interesting to see the dams taken apart. I like to imagine the amount of work by both the beavers to build the dams and watching you to take them apart. I like seeing the outdoors and the drone shots. I think you seem like a humble person and that's nice to see.
